I’m not going to lie; after reading 1 Thessalonians 2, I thought it would be hard to make a lesson out of it. However, God, in His mighty power, made me aware of His ability to turn anything in His Word into a lesson. We know the power of the Holy Spirit because of our faith in Jesus, and maybe this only applies to us because of our belief that the Bible is the written word of God. If anyone wants proof that God used men to convey His words, Paul makes it clear in the following verse:
For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. 1 Thessalonians 2:13
Not only that, but God gives us the ability to understand and believe those words because of the same Spirit. You could use this verse to show someone that the Bible is God’s voice because if they were meant to understand it, the Holy Spirit would be engaged in them to comprehend. It’s worth the try if someone responds that humans wrote the Bible without the inspiration of God. The word of God validates the scriptures!
