Even knowing we live in a corrupt world, we cannot wholly understand the depravity of some people. The shocking headlines of the most recent arrest and other people coming forward to explain their involvement or the abuse they suffered at the hands of this man and his people are unfathomable! The people who gave up their souls for fame and fortune were tortured and filmed as a means of control so they would comply with the evil messaging and ultimately gain control of the general public. Did you know they even controlled preachers by filming them in precarious activities? These activities go beyond s*x*al deviance and involve children. This goes back many years and includes some of the most trusted evangelists, who were compromised and controlled to encourage them to lead Christians astray. All they had to do was change a few of God’s words in their messages to hook gullible believers and change their understanding of the Bible. If they are famous and on television, you must question their motives. Among these sickening and depraved acts I heard about is the worship of idols and sacrificing to them, and I’m not talking about animals. We must separate ourselves from such disturbing and ungodly people. And for goodness sake, stop idolizing these sick people and start reading your Bible so you are not susceptible believing the lies.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 1:24-25

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Revelation 18:3-4

Will this be the year? The Feast of Trumpets will begin at nightfall on October 2nd and last until October 4th. As quickly as time passes, it will be here before we blink our eyes! Will the mighty trumpet call us out of this miserable world into the hands of our Lord and Savior Jesus? I know I’m not the only one feeling like something big is looming; could it be the beginning of the trumpets and the calling for us to go home? All I can say is that I’m ready! Maybe it’s time for us to change our thinking and concentrate on our relationship with God and others, being that everything earthly is corruptible, but the spiritual will be incorruptible and lasting.

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52

What do you want to take with you into Heaven? You certainly can’t take your money. If you have hatred in your heart, will you take that with you? I don’t believe hatred will be allowed in. So now what? We need to assess ourselves using Jesus as our model because He was the only perfect human and see if we measure up. Let me give you a hint: you won’t measure up! Unless you believe in him and accept him as your Savior, you won’t even have a chance to get into Heaven! If you don’t have Jesus, you are not ready! Do not go a step further without Jesus. He’s the only one who can save you from the coming wrath.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:18-19

September 19, 2024

The most recent full moon was gorgeous, and I am in awe of the Father and His extraordinary work. Thankfully, my dogs tend to need to go out at the right times of the day, which means I get to observe the glory of God's creation at various times. September 17th was the revealing of the Harvest Moon, and not surprisingly, that big, bold ball of cosmic beauty did not disappoint and was a feast for my eyes. I even saw the partial eclipse, supposedly the earth's shadow. Even though we've been told all kinds of lies, we can all agree that God's perfect creation cannot be duplicated and will reveal glitches even if they try. However, seeing the difference may take a keen eye and a discerning mind. Do not be fooled! The enemy has infiltrators in every aspect of society, especially the scientific community and the space industry. Do not believe everything you've been told. More and more, the lies are coming into the light for all the world to see. God is blowing the enemy's cover little by little. He won't do it all at once because the fallout from it could be devastating and could cause chaos to erupt. No matter what happens, we have the truth of who God is because of the intricate details of His perfect creation, and scientists must use what God has created for any of their projects. They cannot escape God no matter how hard they try. Trust God only and question man's intentions. Follow the money and the power, and you will find a little man pulling the strings, as in the movie The Wizard of Oz. The enemy must tell us the truth, and they do, but we consider it a fairytale when we should scrutinize it. Keep your eyes open and discerning.

Walking in the Spirit-Final-Part 7

Praying in the Spirit

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:26-27

Several years ago, I broke my leg, and before the pain hit my brain, I thought I had stepped on a stick and broken it; then I realized it was my leg that broke! I ended up needing surgery to repair it. It was a couple of days before they could do the surgery, so I began doing research on the procedure and the healing process. I was disappointed to find out that most people who’ve had a broken leg and that procedure ended up with a limp. I was determined that that would not happen to me, so I began praying. Within three weeks, I was completely healed, the boot was removed, and I didn’t even need physical therapy. Did I pray the right way? Obviously, I did because hindsight is 20/20. Was it too audacious? Should I have only prayed for routine healing and let God do His thing? Was my prayer Spirit guided?

Sometimes, we are asked to pray for someone whose sickness is devastating, and we aren’t sure how to pray. Do we pray for their healing? I’m always afraid of that prayer for a Christian because our ultimate healing is to be taken out of this world. I believe that is where praying in the Spirit comes into play. We don’t know how to pray for them, so we leave it up to the Holy Spirit, and he hears our intercession, and God does His will. Rather than like my fleshly desire to walk straight without a limp, we allow God to take control and do His will. Did God direct my prayer by His Spirit? I believe He may have since I healed so quickly that even the surgeon was surprised. If you are at a loss for words, remember that God can read our tears and hear our groaning. That ultimately is praying in the Spirit.

This is the conclusion of this seven-part series. I hope it has helped you understand what it means to walk in the Spirit. It’s not as complicated as it sounds, but we must be intentional.

Walking in the Spirit-Part 6

Eager Expectation

And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:23-25

Could we be more hopeful for the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus, than we are now? Living in the tumult of this world is becoming more and more unbearable. The adoption party that God promised us couldn’t come quickly enough. Will it happen during the upcoming feast, Day of Atonement? God is the God of perfection, and I believe he created the holy feasts as bookmarks. Will we experience complete atonement with the appearance of our Savior, where he calls us to be with him, giving us a new body no longer tainted by sin? That’s hope with an eager expectation! We are all a bit unnerved by the onslaught of evil, sickness, and death. Do you think God is allowing us to experience the downfall of humanity so we place all of our hope in Him? That’s where we should be. This place is not our permanent home; our home is with Jesus, so wherever he is is where we want to be. Remember, we are hopeful but fearless, so if it doesn’t happen soon, God will give us the ability to endure. We are walking in the Spirit and faithfully enduring with eager expectation.

Walking in the Spirit-Part 5

Know your place since we are adopted by God

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8:15

We must realize that learning to walk in the Spirit is a mindset; though it may spill over into our physical lives, for the most part, it is connecting our head to our heart. It’s not walking in the Lord with our head only, which could be harsh or restrictive, and not exclusively with our heart, which could be overly emotional, but it’s a balance of both. So think of it like this: we were lost and alone in this world, wandering to and fro without direction, and God sees us and feels sorry for our condition. He sends the Holy Spirit to see if we want to live under his roof. If we are agreeable, He fights for us to take us out of the cruel world, goes to court, and adopts us. We no longer wander aimlessly but are now joint heirs with his other children. He then begins to teach us His ways so we learn to act like part of the family. We now have the comfort of belonging and realize the love He has for us because we are His children. We merged our heads and hearts to understand our position; though separated from the world, we are now learning to walk in this world as royalty. The more we open our eyes, the more we realize that God sets our value, which is purely spiritual. Know your worth in the eyes of God and live that way.

Walking in the Spirit-Part 4

Let the Spirit lead you

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14

You wouldn’t be saved if you didn’t recognize the leading of the Holy Spirit. He is that “something” in your heart that tells you to respond in a certain way. “Something” told me to call you. “Something” told me to pray for you. “Something” told me to give you this. However, sometimes you know he is leading you because your heart is pounding because of what he asks you to do. It’s that feeling you get when you know that you know. Other times, his voice is so shallow that you only find out it was him after the fact in your hindsight. He is the one who prompts you to confess your sins. Some people never recognize his leadership, but others train themselves to listen and know his voice.

I remember I felt the strong urge to give a young friend some money; the Holy Spirit gave me an amount. I called her, told her I had something for her, and asked if I could bring it by. When I handed it to her, she began to cry because it was the amount she needed to move to a better apartment. She had been praying, and I became the vessel to fulfill her need. We both knew it was God. That’s just one example, but it impacted both of us. Most of the time, being led by the Spirit is seemingly uneventful, but if we are obedient to his voice, we will eventually grow to recognize it and walk in it.
