Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Isaiah 40:1

With so many issues going on right now, I feel that my path is to comfort the Christ-followers and make them aware that their future is in the hands of God. For many years, we have been led to believe that even though the grace of God saves us through Jesus, we must fear, but I’m here to tell you that’s ridiculous! Lately, I’ve pointed to scripture showing the ones who should worry are the Satan worshipers and Christ deniers. Jesus never told us that living a life in his footsteps would be easy, but nothing good is ever easy; however, he has always said not to fear. The struggle will not last. Why does he say “comfort” twice? He wants you to hear it more than once, so we feel cozy. We have Jesus; he is our guarantee that death cannot hold us, so why live our lives in fear? Take your life day by day, moment by moment, and don’t project your fear into the future.

Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news; lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news; lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!” Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. Isaiah 40:9-10

The Proverbs are full of wisdom and give us insight into how we should live, but is it possible some are prophecies spelled out in today’s language? Look at the following verses:

The highway of the upright turns aside from evil; whoever guards his way preserves his life.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor than to divide the spoil with the proud. Proverbs 16:17-19

The month of June spans a portion of the spring and summer; then comes the fall. You can’t help but notice the signs of “pride” plastered everywhere. Pride flaunted without disguise. I would not want to be in the shoes of these prideful people when Jesus returns. They may walk around mighty and arrogant now, but this attitude will be short-lived and their destruction sure; I expect that their fall is near. Do not be a part of it! They know what they are doing is wrong, otherwise they wouldn’t try to get you to agree that their lifestyle is acceptable in the eyes of God. They want his approval and yours.

I found some good news for those who act like fools, idiots, halfwits, nincompoops, blockheads, and buffoons; we are safe!

And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it. It shall belong to those who walk on the way; even if they are fools, they shall not go astray. Isaiah 35:8

Jesus knew that just because we accepted him as Savior, our personalities would still shine through, whether good, bad, or ridiculous. He made sure we had some scripture to convince those who are uptight and controlling that even if some are crazy, they are safe as long as they continue in the Way of Holiness. Jesus sealed our future, and we need not continue to worry about those we consider foolish, and there are many! Rest easy, my friends; there is a place for all personalities under the rule of our King Jesus!

If you are feeling discouraged about current events, read Isaiah 35; it’s the perfect passage for the down-hearted.

Everything I’m reading in Isaiah points to trouble for evil-doers. God spares and rewards those of us who love him. Life may seem daunting, with the gas prices being the reason vendors inflate prices for food and other items, but we have God, who is our provider, and he will make a way for us when times get tough. Not only will God make a way, but he will punish the evil people who’ve perpetrated the actions that are causing our distress. He will rid us of them; their lairs will become desolate cities where only wild animals will live.

A good example is New York. People are leaving there in droves to search for freedom as we have in Florida, and it’s becoming empty and suffering dereliction. And, it seems to be happening on purpose with their illegal and strict rules to push people out. I expect Washington, DC to become the same way; it seems that it’s primarily jackals living there now, anyway. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and be constant in prayer because I see joy in our future.

For the LORD is enraged against all the nations, and furious against all their host; he has devoted them to destruction, has given them over for slaughter. Isaiah 34:2

Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.” Isaiah 35:4

Life is going to get good! We have this to look forward to:

Behold, a king will reign in righteousness, and princes will rule in justice. Isaiah 32:1

Though it may seem daunting, our time under oppression is waning. You say, “oh, we live in the United States; we’re not oppressed!” but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Our minds have been filled with propaganda that the government released on purpose, and a generation of people have fallen for the lies. Those who’ve set their minds on Jesus have overcome these lies. However, soon everyone will see the truth!

Then the eyes of those who see will not be closed, and the ears of those who hear will give attention. Isaiah 32:3

The fool will no more be called noble, nor the scoundrel said to be honorable. Isaiah 32:5

Did you see that? The fool will no longer be called noble! I believe Isaiah 32:5 is happening to Hollywood and those considered elites right now! They are the fools, and we will be released from their grip when all eyes and ears are opened. We have a lot to look forward to; wait for it!

Don't get me wrong; I'm a fierce pistol-packing mama, and I will take out an enemy in a heartbeat, but that gun is not my source. We've made a mistake when we begin trusting our weapons more than God.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and rely on horses, who trust in chariots because they are many and in horsemen because they are very strong, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult the LORD! Isaiah 31:1

This war we are fighting against this enemy government and anyone who helps them (Hollywood, the media, etc.) will not be won with the standard physical weapon; God will win it!

And yet he is wise and brings disaster; he does not call back his words, but will arise against the house of the evildoers and against the helpers of those who work iniquity. Isaiah 31:2

Further in this scripture, God says the enemy and his helpers will die together. These people teaming up with the enemy know what they are doing; they've turned against God. But God is like a lion with its prey, and all the shouting, as we see in the news, will not stop him from devouring them. We are safe and in good hands, but we must trust him. Have your weapons of war ready, but know they will not save you; your life is in the hands of God, and it is him alone that will come to your rescue.

If you don’t believe that God exists in our everyday experiences, you would be wrong. Right before Christmas, I purchased an ice cream churn attachment for my Kitchen Aid mixer to make homemade Keto ice cream. I thought about making it all this past week and bought the ingredients. Last night I used it for the first time, and the ice cream was delicious.

This morning, I decided to dig a little deeper into Pentecost, or as they call it, Shavuot. Shavuot happened 50 days after the Israelites escaped Egypt, and it’s the celebration of receiving the Ten Commandments. As I wrote yesterday, we celebrate Shavuot or Pentecost as the day Jesus sent the Holy Spirit.

And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24:49

I don’t keep up with all things Jewish and only inquire during times of the biblical feasts. This morning I checked a Jewish website to gain further information about what they do the celebrate Shavuot. I was floored and brought to tears when it said they celebrate by eating dairy items, like cheesecake and ice cream! I can’t make this stuff up! Why did I have the desire to make and eat ice cream after dark last night, which was technically the beginning of Shavuot, according to scripture? So today, let’s celebrate our receiving the Holy Spirit, Pentecost, by having ice cream or cheesecake! I’m pretty sure the Holy Spirit recommends it! ðŸ˜‰
