Though we are not Moses, Aaron, or Samuel, we can still have as close a relationship with God as they did and be commended for our worship of Him. They revered God, prayed to Him, and had their prayers answered. We should learn our lessons from these greats and look to God for the answers. We have barely scratched the surface of our knowledge of the Holy, so when you think you have learned everything possible, wait for it!! God will drop a bomb in your lap to clue you in on great and glorious things that you did not know. Believe me, when He finally trusts you enough to open your eyes to historical things, you will be flabbergasted. As I sort through the scriptures with eyes as wide open as God will allow, I’m beginning to see truths that are making it all make sense. If you are deeply confused by the Word of God, it’s because your time is not yet. When you begin to trust Him with everything you have and make Him the center of your life, He will start to reveal great and wonderful things to you that you didn’t know.

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Jeremiah 33:3

Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy. Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them. Psalms 99:5

The more I dig into history, the more I realize all is not as it seems. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about the lies perpetrated upon us as a civilization. As daunting as it may seem, we still have hope in Jesus, and what more do we need? We exist for him and to offer praise and worship to God. Let’s not consider worship menial, but find joy in existence, even if that means our life’s work only revolves around our great God and King. What more is there? As you start your day, sing to Him, sing about Him, and watch as a melancholy heart turns to happiness; all because you chose to worship our God and Father. Everything seems a little brighter as we open our hearts to God.

A Psalm. O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. Psalms 98:1-2

When Jesus took the throne in his kingdom, the righteous rejoiced! Remember, he is now seated at the right hand of the Father. However, those subjected to his judgment were overwhelmed by the lightning, and the hills melted like wax! I believe Psalms 97 was a prophecy pointing to the destruction of the temple and of Jerusalem around 70 AD. In the writings of Josephus, a Jewish historian, in his book The War of the Jews, book 6, chapter 5, he described the fires destroying the people and the cries of those who were nearly dead from famine after being seized and tortured by the Romans, like the hills were melting or did the hills actually melt? Although he was not a Christian, he describes much of what Jesus warned his followers about. The tribulation during that time was unfathomable and nothing like that had ever happened before. One thing to note: before all of this happened, the Christians saw the signs given to them, and they fled Jerusalem to Pella, Perea. There was no time to waste; they had to leave quickly. God had preserved those who loved Jesus, and I expect that He will do that again. Rejoice in the Lord and give thanks for his holiness.

His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled. The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory. Psalms 97:4-6

Living in this world feels a little different when you have hope for the future. We should spend every day praising God for His goodness and mercy. When judgment comes, we will stand before a righteous God who has compassion on the people of His kingdom. We are not the same as those people who live their days fumbling about with no rhyme or reason; we have Jesus to live for, and what better reason to live than for him? Though we live in a world full of delusion, we will not be caught off guard by the enemy because our expectation of salvation keeps us from losing hope for the future. Don’t waste your time on nonsense; use your time wisely, giving all you have to Jesus, our Redeemer and King. When we are surrounded on every side, take heart, Jesus is the commander of angel armies, and I pray your eyes are opened to see them. While we wait on that blessed hope, keep praising and glorifying God with every ounce of your being. Not only will it prick the heart of God, but it will also raise your countenance, making you feel happy.

Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth. Psalms 96:12-13

We all have things that entice us. For example, my fixation is the aesthetics of my home, property, and my appearance. I don’t like anything out of place, though I get tired sometimes and leave a mess for the next day. These things only become a problem if I choose to obsess over them without giving God the credit for providing the environment I desire. Everything you have is because God gave you the fortitude and the personality to pursue it. Not only that, He is the One who gave you the desires of your heart if they are based on godly values. The point is, you wouldn’t want what you want unless God gave you that desire, so make sure you obsess over God as much as you do your fixations. Hear God’s voice and obey Him. Worship Him with all your heart. Give God the praise He deserves and desires. You’ve made requests of Him and have expectations of Him, but sometimes we put our asks before Him without giving Him what He desires most from us, and that is our worship of Him. Worship Him not only because he will fulfill your prayers, but worship Him because He is God.

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: Psalms 95:6-8

Even though it may seem that the wicked are prospering while God's children are floundering and bending in adversity, it is only for a short time. God will bring those who are the cause of their tribulation to justice; we can count on it! For this reason, we mustn't seek vengeance of our own; no one can inflict vengeance upon our oppressors like our Father in heaven; they will quickly realize their mistake, but at that point, it will be too late for them. However, do not be too quick to place blame on others, because God is our Father, we will also be subjected to chastisement when we are out of line, but we can expect that it is for our good; the correction will lead us in the right direction, and one day we will thank Him for it. For us, God's correction is to life, but His vengeance on the wicked leads them to eternal damnation. Take heart, if you are feeling stressed by evil, give it time, because God will only allow His children to undergo trouble for so long before He gives them relief.

That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked. For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it. Psalms 94:13-15

To live in such a deceptive world and to still believe in the Lord Jesus Christ is a blessing within itself. The enemy throws everything at us, trying to turn our hearts away from him, and yet, here we are, still loving Jesus and worshipping him for the amazing Savior that he is. The distractions are real, and the time wasted on those diversions is a tragedy and a part of the deception. Looking for the truth and sorting through all the lies to find it is a daunting task, but not impossible. We must remember that everyone has been lied to; there are no exceptions. The most talented, gifted, well-educated people are not immune to the deceivers' cunningness. The hardest thing to do is read your Bible without having the teaching of the past color your beliefs, but with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can overcome that darkness and see the glimmer of light shining through. However, even if you never uncover the truth, but you keep your eyes set on Jesus, you have already defeated the enemy! Worship God with all your heart, and the soothing balm of fresh oil will comfort you, and the workers of iniquity will be scattered.

But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore. For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of a unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. Psalms 92:8-10
