We have an enemy much like David had in Saul and Absalom. However, our enemy is cloaked in light, hidden amongst those who pretend to be right in the eyes of the Lord. I feel it is much worse than David’s situation, as you do not know exactly who you can trust. The deception is real, and the illusion keeps us covered in darkness, forcing us to navigate as if we were blind in a completely unfamiliar environment. When God gives you eyes to pierce the darkness, and you see a portion of the truth, it only gives you more reason to pray a prayer like David prayed over his enemies. Our timeline and history have been erased and replaced with something the enemy can use to his advantage. The trickery and false narrative keep us under his oppressive hand, and he only wants to continue the deception. We must wake up from our stupor and expose the lies. However, much like Israel when they wanted to turn back to Egypt because they liked the food better there, we are in the same situation. The more truth you see, the more you wish the lies were true so you could continue the illusion. However, once you see through the lies, there is no going back, and the urge to uncover more of the deception becomes your daily endeavor.
There is a caveat to all of this: speaking the truth comes with the possibility of chastisement and hatred, as no one wants to confront the truth. Those of us who know stay quiet and pray for you to wake up. We give you tiny doses of truth to get you to start asking questions. Fast and pray. Fasting clears your mind, and prayer opens your heart to hear God’s voice. The delusion is real, but Jesus is the truth that will set you free. Pray like David did in Psalms 109 and ask God to open your heart to hear the truth.
Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice. Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle. Psalms 109:28-29
