If only the woke were awake, then much of what we see and hear would be different. Instead, they put their trust where it doesn’t belong, and the world suffers because of their stupor. So, here I am; I answered God as Isaiah did and said, “send me!” But seriously, shouldn’t all who are awake be answering his call? Many have, but we need more!

And he said, “Go, and say to this people: “‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.” Isaiah 6:9-10

It's not that people need to wake up to the conspiracies at hand; they need to see the truth about Jesus and his salvation. He will wake up the people. Our firm faith in him will give us the confidence we need to see through the garbage pushed by the authorities. He is the truth and the light that shines in the darkness of this world. Keep sharing his message, and eventually, those who are asleep will have a lightbulb moment, and the day's issues will become clear.

One of my favorite descriptions of God is in Isaiah. I'm consuming Isaiah like a sweet dessert and have had to make myself stop reading it so I can write. Here's the verse:

In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Isaiah 6:1

When I'm having trouble sleeping, this is my go-to verse. I imagine myself curled up in one of the folds of the Lord's robe, cozy and safe, where his peace settles upon me, giving me rest for my weary bones. The Lord has a remedy for every issue you have. Instead of running to man as a source, seek God first and watch as he uses man to fulfill your needs. God is so good, and he responds on behalf of his children because no one loves us more than he does.

If you want to see a picture of today written in the Bible, look at Isaiah 3! Though it's written as a warning to Judah and Jerusalem, the similarities to what we face today are almost eerie. God's word is living, and the outcome of sin is to same; we should also heed its warning and warn others to turn away from wrong and look to Jesus for healing.

For the look on their faces bears witness against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves. Isaiah 3:9

Here's the good news:

Tell the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds. Isaiah 3:10

If ever there was a time to clean up your life, repent of sin, and look to Jesus for your sustenance, it is now. His promises are the same for us as they were for the righteous of Judah and Jerusalem. We can count on God to fulfill them because he doesn't change, and his word is trustworthy and true.

Yesterday, the electric company finished installing outdoor lighting on our property. We have a long driveway, and before the installation of lights, it was very dark, and the coverage of trees didn't allow much moonlight. We were so excited to see it lit up that we hurried outside to see them in our bare feet. We were drawn out there like bugs to a light! The light would have connected down the driveway if it weren't for the trees. As Christians, our light should shine, connecting to other Christ-followers. If any trees are dimming the glow, we should prune them to help promote the brightness. We should draw people to us because they see something different within us and feel the peace of Jesus when they are close. They may not know what it is that's so different; that's why sometimes we need to open our mouths and tell them the reason for our peace. As a caveat, people who love darkness will be antagonistic toward you. Don't let that bother you; keep your good testimony and peace.

but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. 1 Peter 3:15-16

We have had very little rain here in Florida lately. It has caused everything to be dry and dusty. I spent time watering some of the plants, though I feel it's not enough. We need a slow and steady rain for a couple of days to give the grass a boost and wash the dust off the trees. The same is true for the world right now; we need a steady outpouring of the Holy Spirit to wash us in the Word of God from head to toe. I can't wrap my head around some of the things I see and hear; it makes no sense for adults to argue and debate about the way God created us. Gender is a non-issue, yet it is at the forefront of the news every day. It is a perversion of the truth and goes against our nature. The enemy's lies have infiltrated common sense, and the gullible have fallen for it. If they want to sin, they don't need our permission; we know the truth and will not accept it no matter how hard they push. Cleanse us, Lord Jesus; the world has gone mad.

Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause. Isaiah 1:16-17

Suddenly, there seems to be a pattern in the news of multiple shootings. So it begins again; a push for gun control measures instead of punishing the criminals for their heinous behavior. The judges are letting them get away with their crimes, and as expected, they do it again and again. It's lawlessness! We will only reach an end of the madness when Jesus returns to rule and reign. When he began his ministry, one of the things he did was heal people of their demonic possession. When he comes again, he will rid the world of the demons! It will be glorious! Satan's hold over people and the oppression he creates will be removed, and everyone will be free, have a clear mind, and be able to see the truth. We are nearing the end; hold on to what you have until Jesus returns.

And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons. Mark 1:39

Justice will be served. Those who’ve committed treasonous acts and have positioned themselves against God’s people can expect to suffer the consequences of their actions. You cannot create fuel shortages, food supply issues, medical tyranny, continue with evil practices, and hope to go unscathed. Then, to tell people not to feed your baby anything but formula that they can’t find because of shortages is insanity! The same thing happened with Covid; they didn’t want you to treat the symptoms with over-the-counter medication. The Australians are being told not to grow their own food and can face the consequences if they try. Why? They want people to suffer and die. Anyone listening to the garbage they’re spewing is as guilty as they are. They think we’re stupid, and some people are. We must use our common sense and dismiss the lies. God gave us a brain, and we need to begin using it.

Therefore my people go into exile for lack of knowledge; their honored men go hungry, and their multitude is parched with thirst. Isaiah 5:13

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. Hosea 4:6

Then I said, “These are only the poor; they have no sense; for they do not know the way of the LORD, the justice of their God. Jeremiah 5:4
