The other night, our cameras recorded a coyote crossing our property. Though the coyote is smaller than a wolf, it is a close relative and "was once referred to as the American jackal by a behavioral ecologist." I am not a fan of predatory animals and find them reprehensible. However, this young animal was only passing through, and though I don't like them, I enjoy seeing any wildlife. I have seen a few rabbits on the property and in our yard, but this one didn't look like it had recently eaten. It glanced at my door but kept going. I'm happy that it didn't stick around and left us alone.
There is a lot of symbolism in this occurrence. The wolf is symbolic of Satan, and a coyote is as close as you can get to a wolf in our part of the country. The good news is that it crossed our path but kept going as it looked back at our house's doorway. Thankfully, I worship the Lord daily, and my home is full of his glory. The enemy looked but passed on by, only because of Jesus! Make a habit of filling your home with the glory of God daily, so the enemy finds his presence repulsive and passes by. There is good news for our future, and it is coming fast. Stay prepared.
