January 23

For now, you must focus on peace. The world is stirred and shook over the current events, but we who are saved know that these things must take place to bring the full number into the sheepfold. Yes, it seems that God is separating the wheat from the weeds, the good from the evil. But what can we do about it? We wish for no one to spend eternity in hell, but the evil misdeeds of some are going to tear us apart. There is one thing we can count on during a transition of power; our military. The men and women who make up our armed forces are our friends and family. They are the ones who will make sure the constitution is followed and will protect us from any invaders, foreign or domestic. Their commanding officers will make sure that proper action is taken by all and take charge if they see that there is influence by a foreign adversary who may be looking to take control.

As I was studying this morning, I noticed that in three chapters in a row, Jesus said to ask him, and he will do it! Though I’ve read these chapters and verses many times, I’ve failed to notice how often he said it. It was all in one speech, but it has been broken down into chapters by the writer or translators. Please pray, and make sure you either begin or end your prayer with “in Jesus' name;” ask him to sort out our situation for good; in Jesus's name!

If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:4; If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7; Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:24

When the world opens its eyes, if God allows it, there is going to be fear and trembling at the sight of what he has done, but we will rejoice! After all the pieces fall into place and the day of reckoning comes, we will see the evil that the darkness hid. I hope you’re seeing some of it now because I am. Those hearts that God hardened may never see, but thanks be to God that we whose eyes are open will see the recompense of the wicked and walk across the Red Sea on dry ground. We will watch as the Egyptians drown in the tidal wave that they didn’t expect. Right now, they are playing a role in a perfectly scripted drama with sinister undertones, but in the end, the good guys always win, don’t they? It may seem that the story has finished, but the next scene is just beginning, and there is a plot twist that the actors failed to notice; they were written out of the script, and they had to go home early. The point is, don’t get too caught up in the drama that’s unfolding; God’s plan is never what we expect, but I guarantee you, the outcome will be in favor of those who love him. God always wins!

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27

January 21

We are living in an exciting time! If you are giving up now, you are leaving before the show begins. Do you leave a movie after you’ve watched the previews? This is our moment to shine! We have to bring hope to a world that is deflated, rejected, and battle weary. If you give up now, how will the people of the world react to your lack of faith? I am more energized today than I’ve been in a very long time. I know we’ve overused this term lately, but we are here for such a time as this! If you walk away now, you will be rejecting the position God gave you; there will be consequences for that.

Stand firm, warriors! There is no need to fret; God will not forsake us; he loves us too much to leave us. Stand on his promises! He never said this life would be easy; it wasn’t easy for Jesus, but he managed very well during his time in the flesh. He resides within us to give us the strength to carry on his mission. We don’t need a bunch of “Christians” running around with a doom and gloom attitude. Lift your head, put a smile on your face, and show the world that your faith is strong. Buckle up, buttercup! The fun has just begun!

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. John 14:1

January 20

If things don’t turn out as you hoped, be encouraged. In Jesus’s day, they had hoped that he would take over and become their king, and when they crucified him, they were disappointed and shocked. They had thought he was going to save them in their lifetime, but he saved them and us for eternity. What we are seeing is only the surface, a fraction of the truth. Will we ever know the whole story? Will we even care once the glory of God overshadows us? No, I believe nothing we’ve experienced will matter once we are in his presence.

I don’t know what will happen today; my only hope is that people don’t turn their backs on God if things don’t turn out the way they expect; they don’t understand the whole picture, none of us do. You may be facing the most critical test of your faith; stand firm, this is your Goliath, and you only need one stone to take him out, the stone that the builders rejected! Whatever happens, it will be interesting to watch it unfold. Stay tuned into the Holy Spirit; you need his presence, now more than ever.

This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:11-12

January 19

How can I offend you today? Oh, I know; I’ll tell you the truth! Do not be caught off guard! If our country’s current trajectory, as portrayed in the media, is to come to fruition, this may be one of my last posts. Like many of you, I am part of the problem because I believe in something more powerful than humanity. Together, we remind the guilty of their sinful nature, and they will try to eliminate us or confine us so their conscience will feel clear. Our country, going down this path, will lead the world in the same direction. If you are not praying for the good guys to win, you are part of the problem; being complacent on this issue puts you in the same category as them, blind! See, I told you I would offend you!

If what we, the conscious, are hearing in the undercurrents are true, then there will be more time to bring our loved ones to salvation, and the great awakening will begin. You will also see that everything you believed about our government was a lie, which is why we are in this predicament. Do not be afraid. When it seems that things are falling apart, they are only falling into place. If you have no idea what I am referring to, you need to pray for yourself, and you need to pray for God to wake you up before your world begins to spin out of control. Oh, look, I offended you again! Not sorry. Wake up, my fellow believers, and pay attention to the truth, or you’re going to get caught up in a web of lies that will cause you to fall to the ground riddled with fear! If you know Jesus, you know the truth!

I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. John 12:46

January 18

It’s very quiet; too quiet. Are we in the eye of the hurricane? The sun is out, the sky is clear, and the world seems somewhat normal. However, the wind is changing direction, and the backside of the hurricane is approaching. What will become of us when its power begins to rage? Nothing, unless the light blinds you. What’s funny is that the blind think we are the ones who are blind! Oh, but I see ever so clearly; my eyes are open to the truth, how about you?

Many in Jesus’s day knew the truth about him but refused to admit it for fear of the Pharisees, so they kept quiet. Today, many say they believe but are too caught up in worldly affairs to leave them behind. The price is too high for them to follow Jesus, but we know it costs more to reject him.

Though the sun is shining today, the backside of the hurricane is getting closer, and time is running out. Bask in the glory of Jesus; commit to memory all he has done for you; because when things get tough, we will need to remember how faithful he has been and not lose hope. Are you prepared? If you trust in Jesus, you have everything you need to survive the storm.

While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” When Jesus had said these things, he departed and hid himself from them. John 12:36

January 17

From my vantage point, I can see the shoreline. Yesterday, I watched the waves crashing and could see the tornadic behavior of the wind as it stirred up the Gulf of Mexico. The surf was angry and cold, and people took cover. We saw very little activity; the beachgoers stayed home sheltering from the storm. We didn’t venture out until midday, but we stayed away from the stormy shore.

We can see the activity with our eyes, though no one speaks of it. We hear voices of glee from the blind and the evil forces. What lies ahead as this uncontrolled storm approaches? If you’re not careful, you will let the activities of this day and age discourage you; I’m not immune, though I have a thorough understanding that God is in control. Wherever your mind goes as it sees the approaching storm, be encouraged; you are more secure than you think. The followers of evil have no hope, but you have Jesus, the only hope needed to traverse such a time as this.

Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. John 12:25-26
