May 8

Today is the thirty-fourth day of counting the Omer. Pentecost is coming! Will this year’s Pentecost have significant meaning? Let’s hope God has something special planned. We need to see some action and know that liberation is coming for the people of God and that he will free the world of the evil that has overtaken it. Our best weapon is prayer, so keep praying; God is listening. We can’t go on as we have been; it won’t work. To see things crumbling is very disheartening, but remember, Jesus overcame the world. Wait patiently, he is still on his throne, and we can count on him to come to our rescue.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2

I know, some days, it seems like I’m going in a weird direction with my post, but a new door has opened for me, and I see God’s word in a completely different light. I think the LORD took me through a process at a gentle pace, but now, what was once a trickling brook, has become a fully flowing river. What was once darkness, or a mental block, is now becoming clear. My understanding of Bible prophecy has taken a turn. Maybe I’m behind, but the Holy Spirit never pushes us until the time is right. Because of the new enlightenment, my writing may seem a bit off or unusual; please bear with me. Dig into the scripture portion of the post and pray for God to give you an understanding. Be grateful for the knowledge and wisdom God gives you. I feel privileged to be where I am right now, but I expect him to release more as I grow in my understanding. He has given me a hunger and thirst that only his Word can quench, and I’m grasping for every little crumb that falls from his table. It is a great day to be alive!

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Revelation 22:1-2

Let’s talk about the third temple.

Will there be a brick-and-mortar temple and the anti-Christ be sitting on the throne? Wouldn’t that be too obvious? Since when is a prophecy that clear?

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

Jesus referred to himself as the temple.

John 2:19 & 21 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” But he was speaking about the temple of his body.

Paul talks about the temple being us. The following is only one example.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.

So, in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, why do we think Paul is referring to an actual structure and not the symbolic temple that dwells within us? Jesus also spoke of the deception that even the elect might be prone to believe. Isn’t the third temple being erected right now in the hearts of many? The anti-Christ is already here; it’s those who are pulling strings for the new world order, and he is setting up shop within our hearts! Look at the preachers across the world, falling for the delusion, then teaching things that go against what Jesus has taught us, and look at all the people believing them. These preachers are causing the desecration of the temple! We need to get a grip because it’s happening now!

Many underhanded things are going on unbeknownst to us. Though God has given us freedom, the enemy has found a way to make us slaves upon birth, using legal jargon to capture us and use us as chattel. If you live in the United States and most other countries, you are not free and are used as collateral to borrow money from other countries. I’m still learning about this, and as I dig deeper, I will share what I learn. It’s no wonder the government can burden us at will. It is, for this reason, we all work so hard and never get anywhere! And now, the tyrant currently considered president plans to burden us with higher taxes. If you are poor and think this won’t affect you, you are wrong! I believe that God is working toward setting us free from this tyranny, but all the pieces to the puzzle have to fall into place; he has the perfect plan, and we have a ringside seat to watch it unfold. It is a great time in history to be alive! Enjoy the show!

Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again. 2 Corinthians 1:9-10

We are on the move again! I know, I know, we need to settle down. All I can say is that God is directing our path, and we do what he says to do. For the next couple of weeks, we will be painting and preening, readying our new home for the big move. The market is so good for sellers that the house that I’m moving from was under contract within just a few hours! It’s a lot of work to move, but it’s also refreshing. I’m thinking of painting the front door blue, which, according to a real estate article, means trustworthy; I thought that was nice. It has two porches, which I can’t wait to decorate, and then sit and enjoy God’s blessings. It also has enough room for my growing family to gather; that’s what I’m most excited about! I don’t know what God has planned for this world; all I know is that we need to keep living until his plan falls into place. I pray that you are comforted in knowing that God is in control; he controls the devil, and he also controls our destiny! Doesn’t that feel good?

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

May 3

I’m expecting some good days ahead, and it has nothing to do with who’s running the country; it’s because of God. It may not be good for everyone, but for those of us who have put our faith in Jesus, we can expect to see him move on our behalf. I recall early last year praying for God to bring us to justice for all that the evil one has committed against us, and I’m still anticipating the outpouring of his recompense upon him and those in his faction. Yes, we are in the “end times,” but it will be the end of the reign of Satan and his minions, not the end of us. However, if we are not approaching the beginning of Jesus' reign, and he decides to call us to him in the sky, I’m okay with that too. Either way, we win!

What will the reign of Christ look like? Will we see him sitting on his throne, or will it be a time when his church is in charge? Why does he tell us not to look for him? Could it be that he will reign supreme because Satan is tied up, and his work will be seen through us? He says, “I will never leave you or forsake you”; he’s already here. He’s already on his throne, but his work will be made clear because Satan can no longer deceive us.

Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Matthew 24:23-24

This is us! I believe we are fighting now!

They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.” Revelation 17:14

Has the enemy deceived us? You bet he has! Will he twist and turn the scripture and use it to bring confusion? He did it to Jesus, so why wouldn’t he do it to you. Jesus knew the scriptures, but he didn’t allow the deception. Our only hope is to comb through the Bible and sort it out with many studies.  Me bringing up interesting topics, such as the rapture, which, by the way, is never mentioned in scripture, is to get you to do some of your own research. You will never know or understand God and what our future holds if you don’t sort it out in your mind. Ask questions, but don’t depend on someone else to answer them; search for the answers yourself.

One great lesson I learned during my Bible training was taught to me by my instructor. I would ask him a question, hoping he would clarify my concern, only to be met with, “That is a good question; let us know when you find the answer!” I’m paraphrasing because I don’t remember his exact words. So, if I share my thoughts and you disagree, dig deeper to increase your knowledge. The truth is, the real purpose of studying the Bible is to grow closer to Jesus, and there is nothing controversial about that.

You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, John 5:39
