Today is the thirty-fourth day of counting the Omer. Pentecost is coming! Will this year’s Pentecost have significant meaning? Let’s hope God has something special planned. We need to see some action and know that liberation is coming for the people of God and that he will free the world of the evil that has overtaken it. Our best weapon is prayer, so keep praying; God is listening. We can’t go on as we have been; it won’t work. To see things crumbling is very disheartening, but remember, Jesus overcame the world. Wait patiently, he is still on his throne, and we can count on him to come to our rescue.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
