January 30

I was up all night with my little dog Rudy. He was sick to his stomach. We’re on the fourth floor of a high rise, and the street is close to the building, so we have to gear up before going out. Poor baby, I feel so bad for him, he’s still sick this morning, and I can hardly keep my eyes open, so if I ramble incoherently, please forgive me.

Many things are going on worldwide today, unimaginable things that remain hidden under cover of darkness. You’re not going to hear about them if you keep your eyes glued to the television and you listen to the message it spreads; it’s there to keep you cloaked in misinformation and steer your attention away so you don’t uncover the truth. You were given the Holy Spirit for a reason, not only to enlighten you to the truth of God’s Word but the provide you with discernment for what’s going on around you. If you continue to believe the lies that are forced on you, when the truth comes out, you will be stunned. Pray right now for the Holy Spirit to open your eyes and shed light on your path so you are not overwhelmed when you hear the truth; otherwise, you may end up sick to your stomach just like Rudy.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8

January 28

Some days, I can read my Bible and get an immediate message, even if I’ve only read a few verses. Other days I need to read several chapters with stops along the way to chew on things that the Holy Spirit highlights. Of course, today was one of those chapter days where I find myself falling into a rabbit hole, only this hole has answers and significance, but you have to dig a little deeper to figure out what it is. The funny thing is, today, I asked God to open my eyes to more details, and now I wish I had left that door closed. Sometimes you regret answered prayers, though I don’t regret this answered prayer; it only opened the door to more questions. Here is one of the questions: What is the significance of 153 fish in John 21:11?

So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn.

Some days I wish I had better mathematical skills. After typing that question into my search bar and choosing the most reliable source, I found that 153 is a triangle number... okay? If you add the numbers individually, like 1+2+3... through 17, it equals 153... okay? There’s more, but you’ll have to look it up if it interests you. Does this number have a hidden meaning? You bet it does!! More than one! The basic meaning of this verse is Jesus’s disciples need to go and teach all the world about him, and he would haul in those fish without breaking the net. You can dig deep for hidden meanings, but sometimes you need to stick to the basics of loving God and loving people. I feel that I’m leaving this incomplete, but if you want to learn more, do a quick search, and you’ll see what I mean.

January 27

The people asked for a king. They cried and cried to God to make them a nation like the others, so he fulfilled their wishes, though he knew they were better off with the system he had set up. God gave them Saul. He was a bad king and treated the people of the kingdom poorly, and they regretted their prayers. God anointed David while Saul was still king, but David had to learn how to be a king, so while he waited, God taught him through many trials and lessons. He grew in strength and knowledge, and after Saul died, David became the most well-known king Israel has ever had.

Then Jesus comes along many years later, fulfilling all of the prophecies about him, did miracles, and taught them how to enter the kingdom of heaven while on earth, but they listened to the Pharisees and the leaders and believed all the false information they heard about him. Jesus showed the people the truth, but they were too blind to see it, so they crucified him.

Sometimes God gives blind people what they ask for so they will open their eyes to the truth. He allows them to suffer the consequences of their actions. Those who recognized the truth and supported the good king have to sit back and watch as the people get what they deserve. Fortunately for us, God resurrected our true King, and we live under his protection no matter who is crowned here on earth.

So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, “Behold the man!” When the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, “Crucify him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Take him yourselves and crucify him, for I find no guilt in him.” John 19:5-6

January 26

The more my eyes are enlightened to the truth of this world, the more I understand why, when I was a child, my parents prohibited me from watching certain things on television. Because of their love, they protected me from becoming indoctrinated into submission to the government, Hollywood, the news, and the satanic cult. The government uses Hollywood and the news to control the people's minds, teaching them how they want them to act, behave, and respond to certain situations. It’s hard to know what to believe today.

Did you know that the term “conspiracy theorist” is a made-up term to label people who are getting close to the truth, insult them, and direct them away from it? When we hear that the only truth is in the Bible, you better believe it! I’m at the point where I think the only way for us to get back to what God had intended is for Jesus to return right away, or the Tower of Babel needs to come down again, meaning the television and the internet! We need to get back to enjoying one another by meeting together in person and experiencing what it means to be human again. You need to ask God to give you discernment so you can uncover the truth for yourself.

Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” After he had said this, he went back outside to the Jews and told them, “I find no guilt in him. John 18:37-38

January 25

There is a movement in this world that most people don’t believe, if that’s you, you need to get your head out of the sand and take a look around. There is a sinister underground network that enslaves children. You can hear about these missing children and the arrest of their captors in the real news. Some of these children have been abandoned and have no homes to return to, and may have been held captive since birth. My heart breaks for them. How are they going to overcome the trauma? Will there be people to help them reenter society? I expect we will begin to see more of this very soon, and I feel we need a plan to help them. What are the people of God going to do? We cannot leave them to others in the world to handle this; that’s why they are in this situation. Today, ask God if this may be a ministry you should consider getting involved in. Start praying about it now because the need for workers in that ministry will be opening very soon.

"Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward." Psalms 127:3

January 24

Yesterday, I spent some time on the beach. The shoreline soothes my soul, and I can focus my prayer and conversations with God. I usually hear God’s voice when I’m quiet, but on this day, I heard him in my prayer. It was so much more than I could have ever imagined. I began speaking in rhythms like a rapper or a poet. I almost couldn’t believe what I was hearing; each word I said related to the previous and was reminiscent of a psalm. It was a stunningly beautiful array of passionate conversation with our Heavenly Father. How does this happen, and who can I thank for this scripted yet unscripted linguistic ability to arrange my words? There is only one who can take a moment and make it his own, the Holy Spirit. Is this a new chapter in my writing? Maybe, but I have to study poetic form to make sure I’m following a pattern so I don’t appear foolish. If God can take hold of the words that I know and form them into rhythmic prayer, you can bet he can use the language of angels to glorify himself when we release our worries and open our mouths and let the sounds flow. Don’t be afraid. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak through your prayer and arrange the letters for you when you are at a loss for what to say.

To the choirmaster: for the flutes. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O LORD; consider my groaning. Give attention to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you do I pray. Psalms 5:1-2
