June 4, 2022

Today is the seventh Sabbath since the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. Tomorrow is Pentecost Sunday, day fifty of counting the Omer, the day we celebrate receiving the Holy Spirit. Heavenly occurrences are happening. Look at Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn; last night, they began lining up, the beginning of the seventh Sabbath, and can be seen with the naked eye. Is that a coincidence? I highly doubt it. The alignment should last all month, so if you are rain and cloud-covered like we are, no worries, you will still get to see it. I’m disappointed that the modern church doesn’t teach us to observe the feast; it is something we must do on our own. If we followed them congregationally, we might see the pattern of heavenly occurrences and receive the blessings associated with them. God requires them for a reason. The modern church has been infiltrated by the enemy who confuses God’s Word and makes us feel that specific passages don’t pertain to us. However, according to Paul’s writings, we are adopted into the family by accepting Jesus as our Savior. Children who are adopted do as the family does and receive the same blessing as the other children in the family. One day very soon, God will make all of this clear, and we will be outraged because of all the favor we missed for not observing God’s mandates because the enemy weaved his way into the church.

What I have done to make sure I don’t miss any biblical feasts is I’ve downloaded the Jewish calendar. It might be a good idea for all of us to do the same.

“You shall count seven full weeks from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering. You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath. Then you shall present a grain offering of new grain to the LORD. Leviticus 23:15-16

If the day's events were only affecting one country, we could reject the notion that it is tribulation, but it's not. Every country in the world has problems with their governments acting like tyrants. The noose is tightening around the necks of ordinary people. The people of the United States are feeling pressed down hard because we've had the most freedom, and those who are plotting to take over the world need to find a way to control us. The gas prices are insane because they want us to purchase battery-powered vehicles to implement the ridiculous "green new deal." I'm sure they must own stock in the battery companies. They are trying to take away our guns before the mid-term elections because they know their time in public office is short and patriotic Americans will replace them. The only way they can take over our country is to take our weapons! They know what they are doing.

Do you worry about these issues? You shouldn't! Trust that the Lord knows what he is doing. Time is short for these tyrants, and when their time comes to an end, we will live in peace forever!

Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him. Isaiah 30:18

At one time, I was against coloring my hair. I knew it would be challenging to maintain. Then I started getting gray hairs, and all that went out the door! Now, I realize it was God instructing me. I’ve gone five years without any chemicals touching my head, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m not telling you to stop coloring your hair; these instructions were specific to me. Here’s the point; if God is concerned about something as minor as hair, how do you think he feels about more important matters? Here’s the answer:

“Ah, stubborn children,” declares the LORD, “who carry out a plan, but not mine, and who make an alliance, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin; who set out to go down to Egypt, without asking for my direction, to take refuge in the protection of Pharaoh and to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt! Isaiah 30:1-2

The words that seem to jump off the page, “without asking for my direction!” We should do nothing without consulting God! Even for minor things like hair. It may seem ridiculous, but God wants to be the one you talk to about everything; he will never lead you astray. Don’t go it alone! He is our supreme counsel; seek him about every decision.

The spiritual war in which we are engaged heats up as threats to our liberty become evident. We must continue to plead with the Lord to bring out truth and justice for his faithful followers. Ask for discernment to traverse these times. Many called by his name are fakes who hide their true identity and are ready and willing to lead the weak in the wrong direction and imprison them in a cage of lies. They are a product of the Devil! They put on a show and are easily spotted by their act. Faithful Christ-followers don’t have to put on a show. We do not have to change our tone of voice to an insincere “meek” manner or use biblical language in the presence of unbelievers; we speak like normal humans. When I hear such a person pretending to be loving and caring by using their tone of voice, red flags go up in my mind. I know my Christian friends, and they don’t speak like that; they don’t have to fake their mannerisms; their identity comes naturally without a show. Beware. The enemy shines like a beacon of light but is full of darkness.

For they are a rebellious people, lying children, children unwilling to hear the instruction of the LORD; who say to the seers, “Do not see,” and to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us what is right; speak to us smooth things, prophesy illusions, leave the way, turn aside from the path, let us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 30:9-11

May 31, 2022

Does this year, 2022, feel like it’s moving slowly? We are finally entering the month of June; I guess that’s a good thing because I’m not getting any younger. We are closer than ever before to the prophecies of the Bible becoming fulfilled, especially this one from Isaiah.

In that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book, and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see. Isaiah 29:18

We are in the middle of a wake-up call. Soon every eye will see, and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. They will see that this life is about choosing between God and Satan, good and evil. We are seeing that most have chosen Satan as their god, but soon they will realize their mistake; by then, it may be too late, and they will find themselves anguishing in hell.

For the ruthless shall come to nothing and the scoffer cease, and all who watch to do evil shall be cut off, Isaiah 29:20

The good news is that God is in control, and things are falling into place just as he designed. Be patient in this tribulation because good things are coming; you can count on it!

I took down my bird feeder after a fat raccoon toppled it over. I decided it was best not to draw those types of creatures into our yard. However, I still feed the birds, but instead of a feeder, I throw the grain onto the sidewalk, and they flock to it like chickens. It was a great idea because now I get to see many varieties of birds eating together. They love it! I’ve had as many as six different breeds feasting together. Yesterday we even saw a daddy cardinal feeding its baby. I imagine my daily devotional is much like feeding the birds; I’m tossing out bits of grain to many different denominations and backgrounds. It’s like a snack. We each know how to feed ourselves, like the birds, but now and then, it’s nice to munch on a snack that someone else provides. One day we will all feast together at the table of the Lord; it will be glorious! I’ll bet there will be people there that we didn’t expect to see. Only one thing matters; we will be in the presence of the Lord. What an amazing day that will be!

He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. 2 Corinthians 9:10-12

While it may seem that all hope is lost for this world, do not dismay. The Lord encourages us to hold onto our faith, and he rewards those who hold steady. We have a different perspective on the challenges of this day than those without hope in the Lord; our outlook is exhilarating! Sometimes we get so hung up on the adverse circumstances that we forget to notice the promises the Lord is fulfilling. Relax. Continue to obey Jesus's command to go and tell the world. However, if you cannot go yourself, you can focus on the unsaved around you; hopefully, the seed you plant will grow before it's too late.

If you need some encouragement, read Isaiah 26. For the saved, Isaiah is sweet candy for our lips and easy to devour. As for those who oppress the faithful, it is sour grapes! Sit back, eat your popcorn, and enjoy what's unfolding before our eyes!

Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead. Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until the fury has passed by. For behold, the LORD is coming out from his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, and the earth will disclose the blood shed on it, and will no more cover its slain. Isaiah 26:19-21
