March 20

The hospital represents a place of healing. If you are sick or have a disease, you can go there to seek the advice of the medical professionals who’ve trained to administer therapies to bring you back to health. If you leave before the process is complete, you can expect that you will have to return because your condition could become worse, especially if your situation has the possibility of leading to fatality.

The same is true for our walk with Jesus. If you go to him, accept his salvation, and then return to life as usual, you’ve not completed the process; in fact, you’ve barely scratched the surface. Jesus is a healer of souls; a life lived in him is part of a daily regiment and is not a one-time event; it’s a process. Returning to life as usual is like leaving the hospital before they’ve administered their healing services. Our healing will not be complete until he returns to gather us to himself. Trusting in Jesus is life-altering, and it makes us desire to engage with him daily because our healing is ongoing. Have a conversation with Jesus today; you’ll be amazed at how much better you will feel; he’s the doctor; tell him about all of your ailments, issues of your heart, or problems with your health. Focus on him, and you will receive complete healing.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. For behold, those who are far from you shall perish; you put an end to everyone who is unfaithful to you. But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works. Psalms 73:26-28

March 19

When you look at what’s going on in the world today, you realize that the one behind all of the craziness is Satan. Who else could grab control of the financial system, which is the root of all kinds of evil, and control it from the beginning of the fall of man? No human could orchestrate such influence; our physical bodies are finite, we can’t manipulate anything after we are gone; though people may try through writings and recordings, they are not physically able to see it through, so what’s the point? To gain, and then gain more, only to die and leave it all behind? By the time we die, our children have made their own money. If we’ve taught them well, then they don’t need our money to help them make it through to the end of their life.

All the evil we currently see goes back to the financial gain of the so-called elites that Satan controls. Slowly, but surely his scheme is being exposed. Many people are waking up, but you have to wonder what good it will do when we aren’t in control of what happens. Unless we connect with God through our Savior Jesus Christ, ask forgiveness for our personal sins, and then reach out to him for help, then the evil schemes will continue. We may not control what happens next, but we can ask God to control it on our behalf. Pray so God may hear your cries that it might break his heart and move him to change the world’s current trajectory for our benefit.

Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Romans 13:11-12

Pray. There is a heaviness in the atmosphere that is going to take your full attention and require the whole armor of God. This is God’s war, but cover yourself for protection.

he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. Daniel 2:22

March 17

There is a preacher that I check in on occasionally because he has prophetic dreams. I don’t say that lightly; he shared a dream in March of 2020, and by the end of the year, it had come true. I saved the video, and when I watched it again back in December, I was astounded by its accuracy. He hasn’t stopped dreaming. This morning, I decided to see if he’s heard anything new from the LORD, and he has.

We all know there is something seriously wrong with our government, but remember, God sees it too. He verified this in his communication with this pastor. The dream involved a lot of information, but I’m only going to focus your attention on what I consider the main point. Near the end of the dream, a man in an expensive suit, a depiction of Jesus, went into the Oval Office of the White House and overturned the desk, and when he did, it revealed a huge bloodstain on the floor. The desk disappears, and the bloodstain burned a hole in the floor.

Like Jesus in the temple, he overturned the table to reveal the corruption. I’m confident we are going to see this happen. Until then, we must keep our faith and hope in God alone. He is our source, not man.

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; Romans 12:6

What does it mean to live a sacrificed life? As you work out your faith, consider the following verses:

  1. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
  2. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2

When you do Romans 12:1, you become Romans 12:2.

Years ago, I learned that fasting or cutting certain things out of my diet was a tool to help me get closer to God, hear his voice more clearly, and maybe lose a couple of pounds in the process. I was probably more concerned with losing the pounds. But God, being the good Father that he is, was patient with me and showed me the benefit of drawing near to him by controlling my food intake. Now, I only have sugar on occasion; it seems to affect my brain the most, and I feel disconnected if I have too much.

At one point in my fasting journey, I cut out television for a time, and now I can live without it altogether. It is mind control at its finest!

I sacrifice my mornings to God. If my husband has to get up at seven a.m., I get up at five a.m. Seriously though, I’ve realized that it’s not a sacrifice when you draw near to God.

I’m not telling you to go and do what I’ve done, but do work this out between you and God. I didn’t complete this transition all at once; it was gradual. The Holy Spirit was my guide; he has led me down the path I’m walking today.

March 15

Have you ever had to go to the emergency room feeling panicked about your situation only to find that the workers are complacent and unalarmed? It is infuriating! Supposedly, they are in their jobs because they want to help people. Finally, your doctor calls the hospital, and the workers, come rushing to your side to comfort you and ultimately help you.

It’s not your situation that got them moving; it’s who you know. We are in a similar situation when it comes to our relationship with God. You must call on him in every case, but sometimes he makes you sit in the waiting room while he’s assessing your circumstance. He has heard you and will come to your rescue.

We’ve been crying out to him concerning the emergency that our country is experiencing; we are panicked over what we are becoming. Though we can’t see anything happening, God is hard at work pulling all the pieces together, just like the workers; though they seem to be complacent, they are working hard and doing their part to make your emergency visit as good as they can. We only see the surface; the working parts are hidden from our sight. Be patient in the process.

and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” Psalms 50:15

March 14

God’s word is comforting and loving, but sometimes it is downright frightening. Take this verse, for example:

Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. Romans 11:22

“Provided you continue in his kindness!” What does that mean? I thought that Jesus said that he would not lose one person of everyone God has given him? If those of us grafted into the branch rooted in God can be cut off, what does that say about Jesus losing even one whom God has given him? Then in Revelation, Jesus tells us to hold onto what we have until the end; does that mean that if we don’t hold onto it, we will lose it? Forgive me for throwing you into confusion this morning, but this is the way I chew on God’s word. The truth is that we can’t achieve any of this on our own; we must keep our faith in Jesus, though it may only be the size of a mustard seed. I don’t think it’s wrong to have a healthy amount of fear of God. If more people feared him, we would live in a much safer place. Consider that if you are that easily lost, maybe he never had you, the grafting never took, so the branch was going to die anyway. Perhaps that’s why Paul tells us to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.
