January 12, 2025

This life can be very stressful, especially when we become a target of the enemy. If we allow his intrusion and don’t nip it in the bud, he will continue to torment us. He will use anyone and everyone he can to cause pain; no one is immune to his advances. Because of Paul’s commitment to spreading the gospel, he was constantly afflicted. However, he found joy in others, especially when he heard that his gospel message was spreading and that the Thessalonians were holding on to their faith. He was overjoyed to hear of their love for one another and constantly prayed for them. Shouldn’t we do the same? We love our family, but we have a much bigger family of sisters and brothers in Christ, and we need to get to know them and minister to them when they are in need. Don’t go it alone on this journey here on earth; we need each other praying and holding up our arms when we are weak like Moses was at the Red Sea.

Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith: For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God; Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith? 1 Thessalonians 3:7-10
