I'm reading through Isaiah looking for answers about what's going on in today's world. There is bad news and good news. As a caution, do not read chapter 24, which is about the judgment of the whole earth, without reading chapter 25; it's about God swallowing up death forever!

Behold, the LORD will empty the earth and make it desolate, and he will twist its surface and scatter its inhabitants. Isaiah 24:1

Even in chapter 24, there is good news for us:

From the ends of the earth we hear songs of praise, of glory to the Righteous One. But I say, "I waste away, I waste away. Woe is me! For the traitors have betrayed, with betrayal the traitors have betrayed." Isaiah 24:16

I get angry watching the evil leaders of nations worldwide following the plan to devastate the earth. What is wrong with these people? They must also live in the mess they are making; they will not come out of this unscathed. Maybe the devil has made them believe they will prosper while the people suffer. These weak-minded people think they must depopulate the earth so all its resources are not depleted. They are sick! It's not a conspiracy theory; the Bible backs it up! Isaiah 24 is confirmation of this.

Isaiah 25 is about our salvation in Jesus!

He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the LORD has spoken. Isaiah 25:8

Do not worry; we are going to feast!

On this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined. Isaiah 25:6

Their plan will fail, and we will prevail!

The devil cannot keep doing what he’s doing to the people of the earth without repercussion. And those people who delight in doing his bidding will be cut off. What we are seeing and experiencing is only the beginning of the end of them, and they know it. Time is short for those who brandish their weapons against God’s people. Just as Israel did after their release from their captivity in Babylon, we also will taunt them for what they’ve done to us. For those people who don’t see it, imagine how much further you could be in life if the governments didn’t take all our money through multiple taxes. Imagine if they gave us back what they over-collected rather than sending it to corrupt countries. We’ve worked hard for our money, and God will give it all back to us and more. When this war is over, we will be the beneficiaries of the spoils! God’s promises are trustworthy and true; I expect he intends to fulfill some of those promises very soon. Don’t give up the fight! Stay fully armored.

When the LORD has given you rest from your pain and turmoil and the hard service with which you were made to serve, you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon: “How the oppressor has ceased, the insolent fury ceased! The LORD has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of rulers, that struck the peoples in wrath with unceasing blows, that ruled the nations in anger with unrelenting persecution. The whole earth is at rest and quiet; they break forth into singing. Isaiah 14:3-7

If you need some encouragement or are concerned about the evil that’s running rampant, read Psalms 37. As for me, I will hold tightly to God’s promises, and this chapter is full of them!

I love this one!

The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes his teeth at him, but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he sees that his day is coming. Psalms 37:12-13

Look at what he says about the empty shelves:

The LORD knows the days of the blameless, and their heritage will remain forever; they are not put to shame in evil times; in the days of famine they have abundance. Psalms 37:18-19

Rest assured that God is for us. The wicked will find themselves in hell, and we will live in peace forever.

For the LORD loves justice; he will not forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. Psalms 37:28

Once you see the truth, you can’t unsee it. What’s happening now was written for all to see in the Old and New Testaments. The prophets have warned us of these days. I’m filled with excitement to be living during the time of the return of Jesus. We have very little time left to bring others to the side of righteousness. We are safe from the wrath of God because we trust in Jesus, and he covers our sins. Notice this verse where it says, “to destroy its sinners.”

Behold, the day of the LORD comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger, to make the land a desolation and to destroy its sinners from it. Isaiah 13:9

Then look at this verse and tell me it’s not a clear picture of today.

Their bows will slaughter the young men; they will have no mercy on the fruit of the womb; their eyes will not pity children. Isaiah 13:18

What if what Isaiah saw was the latest pharmaceutical that seems to be destroying young men by causing them heart complications? Maybe he saw the syringe, and to him, it looked like a bow with its arrows. And, of course, we are witnessing the merciless tearing of babies apart before they are born. Look at this verse:

Their infants will be dashed in pieces before their eyes; their houses will be plundered and their wives ravished. Isaiah 13:16

God has our back! He will punish the wicked for what they are doing to the earth’s people, and we get to live to see it!

When we moved into my father-in-law’s house, we had to remove several trees from around it. It was unsafe to live there because they could come crashing down during a fierce storm or hurricane. Now, as the rains have begun, the stumps have new growth. Those branches coming from the stump are brittle and easily broken off. Throughout the Bible, Jesus is described as a tender branch.

There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit. Isaiah 11:1

Though these tender shoots may seem insignificant like Jesus was initially, I’m sure that eventually, if left to grow, one of them could become a mighty oak. Jesus leveled everything, cutting the trees down to the base, giving everyone the opportunity for salvation. Your earthly status doesn’t matter; you can be young like a tender new branch or old like a majestic oak, and he will save you from your sins.

Do not fear what is coming. God’s wrath is not against you. In all of God’s Word, his anger is leveled against our enemy, not his own people. We are his people! Be strong and courageous, and do not be afraid of what’s coming. Make sure you’ve gathered all your chicks like a mama hen. We don’t want those we love to get caught up in the coming madness. With each passing day, the truth is coming out little by little. Soon it will snowball, and the media will have to report the truth or face prosecution for being an accomplice to the treason and the destruction of the United States. However, we are not the only people feeling the effects of a world gone mad; other countries are being wrecked on purpose, like we are, to harness control of the people. We are fighting for humanity! Armor up and brandish those swords! We are in the fight for our lives, but remember, we win because God wins! Keep your faith and trust the Lord.

For in a very little while my fury will come to an end, and my anger will be directed to their destruction. And the LORD of hosts will wield against them a whip, as when he struck Midian at the rock of Oreb. And his staff will be over the sea, and he will lift it as he did in Egypt. And in that day his burden will depart from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck; and the yoke will be broken because of the fat.” Isaiah 10:25-27

Forgiveness is essential for your health. My grandmother, who had five children, was a hard woman. She spoke her mind to their detriment and to the detriment of anyone else that disagreed with her. However, two of her children, my dad included, forgave her and let go of the pain she might have caused them, and chose to love her despite her shortcomings. They are still alive as they should be because they honored her even though she was hard to love, and God has given them long life as he promised in the scriptures. The others passed on too soon and died of disease. I can't say for sure that it had anything to do with their inability to forgive her, but it seems suspicious that they've already passed, and my dad, who was the oldest, is still with us today. I barely knew any of them; they were never around during holiday celebrations because they couldn't face her. They gave up the love of the other family members because of her. The point of today's post is for you to do whatever it takes to forgive others and move on with a clear heart. I'm convinced that the length of your life may depend on it.

“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you. Exodus 20:12

So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.” Matthew 18:35

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15
