October 5, 2024

Forgive me for being a "conspiracy theorist" today, but has anyone seen the first sign of the new moon? I know we have been a little stormy, but usually, by morning, you can see it even when the moon is a dark new moon. When the stars are clear, and you can see them, we should be able to see the moon too. We are in the cycle of the new moon, so it was dark on October 2, but we should have started seeing the new crescent by now. The reason I'm saying that is because the first sighting of the moon is supposed to be the beginning of the new month on the Jewish calendar; no moon, no crescent, no new month; at least that's my thoughts about it, but I'm no scientist and could be wrong. I have been purposely looking for it in expectation of Jesus's return, if, as most believe, will happen before the tribulation begins. And being in the High Jewish Holy Days season, we should be on point with the moon cycle. There is nothing to be concerned about, but this might be a red flag since we are looking for signs in the stars and the heavens. I'm sure it will show in a day or so. Stay aware of your surroundings and pray. The world is a terrible place, but it's only our temporary home. Keep oil in your lamp; the Lord has gone to prepare a place for us, and soon, the Father will release him to come and get his bride, the Church!

In the serene climate of Arabia and Judea, its first faint crescent is, for the most part, visible to all.” From the note on my e-sword app for Numbers 29:1 for the Feast of Trumpets

And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you. Numbers 29:1

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Matthew 25:10-13

October 4, 2024

Today until nightfall is the last day of the Feast of Trumpets. The Day of Atonement, which is found in Leviticus 8 and 23, is next on the calendar, beginning at nightfall on October 11 and ending at dark on the 12th. Jesus has already atoned for our sins, so the most reverent thing for us to do is to acknowledge what he did for us on the cross by worshipping and praising him for his atoning sacrifice. We know his sacrifice is worthy of more than one day, so we should mark the days from here until the 12th as special days in our hearts and honor him in an extraordinary way, different than our usual daily routine. What could that look like? Singing your favorite worship songs, reciting scripture, reading your favorite passages to him in prayer, or something that differentiates the time as unique. Isn’t he worthy of this and more? It seems we are knocking on the door of tribulation, and the times we live in are becoming more and more unbearable. If we are to be taken out beforehand, as many believe, I expect that to happen soon. If so, wouldn’t it be great for Jesus to find us worshipping him as he calls us home? Stay focused, brothers and sisters, and keep worshipping him with a heart full of love!

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2

October 3, 2024

The underworld has surfaced, and we are seeing more and more evil tactics. It’s undeniable that the disasters created by Hurricane Helene put into perspective how fragile our existence is and that it would be best for us to stay on our toes and become proactive in doing whatever it takes to secure our homes and families. However, in this time of uncertainty, we need to be more concerned with what God wants from us. Consider keeping praise on your lips and worship Him in Spirit and truth as a part of your security plan. Involve Him in every aspect of your life because, ultimately, He is the one who has the perfect plan, and your existence is only because of Him.

Keep praying for North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida and the people who are dealing with significant loss from the storm.

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of ourlips giving thanks to his name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Hebrews 13:15-16

October 2, 2024

Feast of Trumpets begins tonight at dark through October 4th.

Last night, I happened to run across a video of a former satan worshipper; former because the grace of God now saves her through Jesus, and she shared something that I didn’t know, and maybe I’m the only one that didn’t understand, but according to her, blood is a currency in the spiritual world. Her revealing that one seemingly little thing made it all make sense. My brain could not comprehend why God required blood or even the purpose of Jesus dying and bleeding to cover our sins; so now I get it! If he didn’t die for us, it would take our own blood to cover our sins to make us holy and acceptable to God. However, even our blood wouldn’t be good enough because it isn’t pure and undefiled because of our sin, but the blood of unborn children is considered pure and undefiled by some, making ab**tion, satan worshippers preferred currency. The people wanting it to stay legal are profiting financially in the physical realm and spiritually in the demonic realm. God certainly doesn’t want unborn babies sacrificed to him, because even their blood isn’t pure enough or lasting and also because he created them for a purpose. There are some sick individuals out there, and now my mind is clear as to what drives them to do such heinous things; it is the power of satan that has blocked their minds from accepting Jesus’s blood. Do you see how rich we are in the spiritual realm? That’s why they hate us; it’s because of our spiritual wealth in Jesus. I’ve been praying for all this to make sense, and now I have the answer.

Do not follow any famous person, whether religious or otherwise; they are all compromised and participate in evil; they are only famous because they made a deal with the underworld, and blood is their currency. I would even go as far as to say, get out of the mega-church; ask yourself why it is mega. Jesus is the only way! All other ways involve spiritual darkness and disturbing rituals.

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Leviticus 17:11

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Hebrews 9:11-14

October 1, 2024

If we read our Bible daily, the scripture will permeate our hearts and minds so that when a word or phrase is mentioned, we will recall a verse that matches our situation. That is the Holy Spirit at work within you. It’s completely unnecessary to know exactly where it’s located, but if you need to look it up, God has also made it simple for us to do a quick Google search. Once you look it up, you will be able to put the verse into context. You will be amazed at how it fits your situation or the situation of the one hearing your message to them. God works out the details, and you only need to be a vessel through which the Holy Spirit flows. I pray that today if there is someone in your life who hasn’t accepted Jesus’s free gift, you will have the opportunity to share his wonderful love with them. Time is short, the world is getting crazier by the minute, and those not prepared for what is coming will have their minds blown by the pure evil that may soon ensue. Everyone needs Jesus! Make sure you share his love and mercy with someone today if God gives you that opportunity.

I pray that you, our God and Savior, surround us with your fortress, cover us with your shield, and place your mighty warriors around us to keep us safe and free from the fiery darts of Satan. Protect us, O LORD, from being a casualty of your wrath as the enemy becomes stirred and fights back. We are grateful for your compassion and love you with all our hearts. In Jesus name, amen.

Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. Luke 21:14-15

September 30, 2024

Are we there yet? I feel like a kid riding in a car, anticipating the next adventure. Jesus tells us to stay awake and pray. Every year since 2015, I observe and make note of the condition of the world to see if there are any signs of Jesus’s return, especially during the time of the Feast of Trumpets, and every year that he doesn’t show up, there is hope for the next year, but I’m never disappointed because that means our work is not done. That’s why keeping our lamp full is essential so we don’t run out of oil while waiting on our King for the marriage supper. The signs in the heavens and on earth we now see are dramatic and evidence that his return is very near. I think we all feel it, but if you don’t and aren’t recognizing the signs, I urge you not to be caught off guard. For that reason, he tells us to watch and pray. The word “watch” means to be sleepless, that is, keep awake: - watch. So, if you are going about your business as usual without watching and praying, I recommend paying attention to what is happening around you; things are drastically changing. The world is in upheaval, and it seems troublesome right now, but wait! The glory of our King’s return is at hand! Praise God! Our redemption draws near. Stay watchful, especially between October 2nd and 4th for the beginning of the Feast of Trumpets, and pray that it is this year that Jesus, our King, comes to take us home.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Luke 21:36

September 29, 2024

We are now only a few days away from the Feast of Trumpets. If Jesus calls us to himself during this feast, are you ready? We, the Lord's church, are the virgins in the parable of the ten virgins. We must have our lamps filled with oil. If we aren't ready when he calls us to himself and our lamps are empty, it will be too late to fill them, and we will be denied entry to the marriage supper of the Lamb. Since I'm writing to believers, I'm sure you are ready. Make sure you are placing Jesus above everything in your life; do not look back and long for the family or friends you left behind when you accepted Jesus as your Savior, like Lot's wife did when they left their evil town. We must look toward Jesus, leaving the cares of the world behind, and worship him as our spouse and King.

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Matthew 25:13

Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. Luke 32-33

The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold. She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee. With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace. Psalms 45:13-15

September 28, 2024

If there was ever a time in history that we needed reassurance, it is now. We have been inundated with fear-mongers spreading a message of doom and gloom. These people may have good intentions and may help us prepare for whatever comes next, but it can take a toll on our mental health. These distractions are taking our minds off God and making us internalize worldly situations. Don’t be fooled. We are in the hands of God himself and can rest peacefully in His shelter. If you begin to feel overwhelmed by everything happening, pray Psalms 91. The words of this psalm will comfort those struggling with anxiety and fear and will set our minds straight by reminding us that God is in control and his message is always peace when we rely on him. We will have trouble in this world, but Jesus has overcome this world on our behalf. Trust Him, and he will get us through this rough season.

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. Psalms 91:14-16

September 27, 2024

Our primary goal as believers, as the world seems to be crashing and burning, should be to bring as many as we can into the sheepfold of Jesus. In this day and age of social media, God has made it easy for us to make a difference in the lives of others. We no longer have to walk from town to town to bring the salvation message to the lost. If we inundate our newsfeeds with the information of salvation through Jesus, the people of the world will have no choice but to see it. A quick read as they scroll by will be enough to prick their hearts if the Holy Spirit calls them. If Jesus appears at this next Feast of Trumpets, we want everyone to be ready so no one is left behind. Time is short, so let’s take everyone we know with us as we meet Jesus on that special day.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:18-20

September 26, 2024

In John 10:9-10, Jesus said, "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

Whether or not those saved by Jesus are taken up into heaven at this next Feast of Trumpets, October 2nd-4th, we all know something big is looming. If you haven't committed to Jesus, don't you think doing that now is a good idea? If, for some reason, the media tells you that aliens took all the Christians, don't believe them! We will be safe in heaven with Jesus, but you won't. Do not take the mark that will seal you for eternity in hell! It would be better for you to accept Jesus and die a martyr's death than spend even one day there. I would rather know that you are going with us when we leave this world than think you got left here among the demons. A simple, heartfelt prayer confessing that you're a sinner and want Jesus to save you is all it takes. Go to my Facebook profile, where I've uploaded prayers over the last few days if you are struggling with the words. But know this: God can read our tears. Isn't that beautiful? I hope you will join us as part of God's kingdom and walk through the door of Jesus.

September 25, 2024

I shake my head at what I think about when contemplating leaving the earth with Jesus. Since it seems like we are on the cusp of tribulation and the Feast of Trumpets starts in a few days, I began thinking about what I will leave behind if the rapture happens, not material things but my dogs and all the animals. What will become of those who are stuck here with a bunch of unrepentant rejectors of Christ? The funny thing is God heard my concerns without me saying a word. I had looked up a verse that someone mentioned on social media last night, so when I opened my Bible app, it was on a page in Isaiah about the new heaven and new earth. So I decided to read that page, and lo and behold, I got my answer plus more!!

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD. Isaiah 65:24-25

Before I even called, He answered me! There will be animals. I hope God lets them go with us and my little dogs don’t get stuck in the house with no food and die from hunger and loneliness. I know what you’re thinking: why would I be worried about dogs when people I know and love will be left behind? Well, the people ultimately chose to reject Jesus and have had every opportunity to turn to him, but my little dogs cannot help themselves. I’m sure God has a plan for the animals because my heart aches for what could happen. Isaiah must have loved animals, too, because, in addition to mentioning them here, he also mentions them in Isaiah 11.

September 24, 2024

Did you know that Jesus will wash away all your past and renew your life, leaving you completely clean? Did you also know that it’s as simple as believing that Jesus is the only son of God and that he was sent to us to help us? He was sacrificed for the sin we’ve been found guilty of, and now we do not have to face execution for our sins because he was executed on our behalf. He was hung on a cross, bled, and died, and then three days later, he came back to life, proving he was God in the flesh. He was both man and God at the same time, so he knows the trials we face because he faced them too. We cannot go near God full of sin; he cannot look at us in our sinful state because he is holy and pure. We are all filthy and full of sin, but if we accept Jesus’s free gift of salvation, God the Father will no longer see our filth; we will be covered and protected by the holiness of Jesus and will not face wrath for rejecting Him. Don’t let anyone fool you, saying that there is another way into heaven; there is only one way, and that is through salvation in Jesus.

If you feel compelled, pray a heartfelt prayer confessing and feeling sorry for your sins, and ask Jesus to save you. The truth is that he already has; you just need to acknowledge this truth and accept his free gift of salvation.

Lord, I admit I am a sinner. I need and want Your forgiveness. I accept Your death as the penalty for my sin and recognize that Your mercy and grace are gifts. You offer me because of Your great love, not based on anything I have done. Cleanse me and make me Your child. By faith, I receive You into my heart as the Son of God, Savior, and Lord of my life. From now on, help me live for You, with You in control.

In Your precious name, Amen

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

September 23, 2024

I've been all over in my studying this morning, trying but failing to understand the timeline of Jesus' return. My question is, what must occur before we see him coming in the clouds? From scripture, compared to what is happening now, there are still many things that must occur first. However, when we look at some points, many of those things are happening. There is still a lot of mystery. What does Jesus mean when he says it will be as in the days of Noah? If he means disturbing, heinous, and unfathomable acts are taking place, those things are happening throughout the world right now. Do you know that people around the world are counting on Trump getting into office to straighten things out? Why are we all counting on a man instead of Jesus? Another question: will we have to stay here until the last trumpet?

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52

I don’t want to wait until the last trumpet; I’m ready to be caught up now. My brain cannot process what the evil elites are doing to people. I don’t want to wait. This world stinks! and it’s only getting worse. RANT OVER. I don’t want to end this with negativity. BUT JESUS! If it weren’t for him, we would have no hope. Because of him, we can and will endure to the end and do it filled with joy because of his promises. Hold on to what you have until the end, and remember, if you love your life, you will lose it, but if you hate it in this world, you will keep it for eternity. I’m counting on that promise and Jesus’s return. Come quickly, Lord Jesus.

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. John 12:25

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Revelation 3:11

September 22, 2024

If someone came to you panicking, knowing you are a Christ-follower because they can see that the day of the Lord is drawing near or that something big is happening and fear has gripped them and asked how to become a Christian, what would you tell them? Your answer will come when you think back to the day you trusted Jesus with your own life and share your testimony, even if you were a child when it happened. Many of us come to know Jesus because of fear but have learned that it is trust that compels us to salvation. We must trust and believe that Jesus is the son of God, was born of a virgin, and came for our redemption from sin. We must trust and believe that he didn’t die in vain, that his death was a sacrifice for the penalty of our sins, and that the blood he shed was to wash us clean. We must trust and believe that after facing a tortured death on the cross, he rose from the dead after three days in the tomb and showed himself to many so they might tell others as proof he was alive. It seems like a lot to believe initially, but they wouldn’t be asking for help if the Holy Spirit hadn’t compelled them. And God wouldn’t have put them in your care if He didn’t believe you could handle it. Consider it a privilege and an honor to show someone the way to salvation. Don’t practice a speech, but know the basics and have those confirmed in your mind, but allow the Holy Spirit to guide you. Everyone is different, so what you tell one person may not be what helps another. It is the perfect season for us to cultivate souls for Jesus. Let’s help as many as we can, come to know our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10

September 21, 2024

Even knowing we live in a corrupt world, we cannot wholly understand the depravity of some people. The shocking headlines of the most recent arrest and other people coming forward to explain their involvement or the abuse they suffered at the hands of this man and his people are unfathomable! The people who gave up their souls for fame and fortune were tortured and filmed as a means of control so they would comply with the evil messaging and ultimately gain control of the general public. Did you know they even controlled preachers by filming them in precarious activities? These activities go beyond s*x*al deviance and involve children. This goes back many years and includes some of the most trusted evangelists, who were compromised and controlled to encourage them to lead Christians astray. All they had to do was change a few of God’s words in their messages to hook gullible believers and change their understanding of the Bible. If they are famous and on television, you must question their motives. Among these sickening and depraved acts I heard about is the worship of idols and sacrificing to them, and I’m not talking about animals. We must separate ourselves from such disturbing and ungodly people. And for goodness sake, stop idolizing these sick people and start reading your Bible so you are not susceptible believing the lies.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 1:24-25

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Revelation 18:3-4

September 20, 2024

Will this be the year? The Feast of Trumpets will begin at nightfall on October 2nd and last until October 4th. As quickly as time passes, it will be here before we blink our eyes! Will the mighty trumpet call us out of this miserable world into the hands of our Lord and Savior Jesus? I know I’m not the only one feeling like something big is looming; could it be the beginning of the trumpets and the calling for us to go home? All I can say is that I’m ready! Maybe it’s time for us to change our thinking and concentrate on our relationship with God and others, being that everything earthly is corruptible, but the spiritual will be incorruptible and lasting.

What do you want to take with you into Heaven? You certainly can’t take your money. If you have hatred in your heart, will you take that with you? I don’t believe hatred will be allowed in. So now what? We need to assess ourselves using Jesus as our model because He was the only perfect human and see if we measure up. Let me give you a hint: you won’t measure up! Unless you believe in him and accept him as your Savior, you won’t even have a chance to get into Heaven! If you don’t have Jesus, you are not ready! Do not go a step further without Jesus. He’s the only one who can save you from the coming wrath.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:18-19

September 19, 2024

The most recent full moon was gorgeous, and I am in awe of the Father and His extraordinary work. Thankfully, my dogs tend to need to go out at the right times of the day, which means I get to observe the glory of God's creation at various times. September 17th was the revealing of the Harvest Moon, and not surprisingly, that big, bold ball of cosmic beauty did not disappoint and was a feast for my eyes. I even saw the partial eclipse, supposedly the earth's shadow. Even though we've been told all kinds of lies, we can all agree that God's perfect creation cannot be duplicated and will reveal glitches even if they try. However, seeing the difference may take a keen eye and a discerning mind. Do not be fooled! The enemy has infiltrators in every aspect of society, especially the scientific community and the space industry. Do not believe everything you've been told. More and more, the lies are coming into the light for all the world to see. God is blowing the enemy's cover little by little. He won't do it all at once because the fallout from it could be devastating and could cause chaos to erupt. No matter what happens, we have the truth of who God is because of the intricate details of His perfect creation, and scientists must use what God has created for any of their projects. They cannot escape God no matter how hard they try. Trust God only and question man's intentions. Follow the money and the power, and you will find a little man pulling the strings, as in the movie The Wizard of Oz. The enemy must tell us the truth, and they do, but we consider it a fairytale when we should scrutinize it. Keep your eyes open and discerning.

Walking in the Spirit-Final-Part 7

Praying in the Spirit

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:26-27

Several years ago, I broke my leg, and before the pain hit my brain, I thought I had stepped on a stick and broken it; then I realized it was my leg that broke! I ended up needing surgery to repair it. It was a couple of days before they could do the surgery, so I began doing research on the procedure and the healing process. I was disappointed to find out that most people who’ve had a broken leg and that procedure ended up with a limp. I was determined that that would not happen to me, so I began praying. Within three weeks, I was completely healed, the boot was removed, and I didn’t even need physical therapy. Did I pray the right way? Obviously, I did because hindsight is 20/20. Was it too audacious? Should I have only prayed for routine healing and let God do His thing? Was my prayer Spirit guided?

Sometimes, we are asked to pray for someone whose sickness is devastating, and we aren’t sure how to pray. Do we pray for their healing? I’m always afraid of that prayer for a Christian because our ultimate healing is to be taken out of this world. I believe that is where praying in the Spirit comes into play. We don’t know how to pray for them, so we leave it up to the Holy Spirit, and he hears our intercession, and God does His will. Rather than like my fleshly desire to walk straight without a limp, we allow God to take control and do His will. Did God direct my prayer by His Spirit? I believe He may have since I healed so quickly that even the surgeon was surprised. If you are at a loss for words, remember that God can read our tears and hear our groaning. That ultimately is praying in the Spirit.

This is the conclusion of this seven-part series. I hope it has helped you understand what it means to walk in the Spirit. It’s not as complicated as it sounds, but we must be intentional.

Walking in the Spirit-Part 6

Eager Expectation

And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:23-25

Could we be more hopeful for the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus, than we are now? Living in the tumult of this world is becoming more and more unbearable. The adoption party that God promised us couldn’t come quickly enough. Will it happen during the upcoming feast, Day of Atonement? God is the God of perfection, and I believe he created the holy feasts as bookmarks. Will we experience complete atonement with the appearance of our Savior, where he calls us to be with him, giving us a new body no longer tainted by sin? That’s hope with an eager expectation! We are all a bit unnerved by the onslaught of evil, sickness, and death. Do you think God is allowing us to experience the downfall of humanity so we place all of our hope in Him? That’s where we should be. This place is not our permanent home; our home is with Jesus, so wherever he is is where we want to be. Remember, we are hopeful but fearless, so if it doesn’t happen soon, God will give us the ability to endure. We are walking in the Spirit and faithfully enduring with eager expectation.

Walking in the Spirit-Part 5

Know your place since we are adopted by God

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8:15

We must realize that learning to walk in the Spirit is a mindset; though it may spill over into our physical lives, for the most part, it is connecting our head to our heart. It’s not walking in the Lord with our head only, which could be harsh or restrictive, and not exclusively with our heart, which could be overly emotional, but it’s a balance of both. So think of it like this: we were lost and alone in this world, wandering to and fro without direction, and God sees us and feels sorry for our condition. He sends the Holy Spirit to see if we want to live under his roof. If we are agreeable, He fights for us to take us out of the cruel world, goes to court, and adopts us. We no longer wander aimlessly but are now joint heirs with his other children. He then begins to teach us His ways so we learn to act like part of the family. We now have the comfort of belonging and realize the love He has for us because we are His children. We merged our heads and hearts to understand our position; though separated from the world, we are now learning to walk in this world as royalty. The more we open our eyes, the more we realize that God sets our value, which is purely spiritual. Know your worth in the eyes of God and live that way.
