To the followers of Christ: We can't deny it. We are all guilty of pointing fingers at others for their sin when we've likely committed the same sin, or some other sin. That's what happened when the Pharisees brought the woman to Jesus who was caught in the act of adultery. They were trying to catch Jesus going against the Law of Moses, which called for the people, both the man and woman, caught in adultery to be put to death. However, the Law of Moses also states that the accuser cannot be without sin, which disqualified every one of the woman's accusers. That's why Jesus said, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." They couldn't withstand the scrutiny because they were all guilty of sin. However, the only man standing before that woman who was able to accuse her without any guilt of his own was Jesus. This is what was said:
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. John 8:10-11
You've got to wonder where the man was, because the Bible says she was caught in the act, which means there was a man who was also guilty and should have been facing the same charges.
The Pharisees failed in their attempt to bring real charges against Jesus. That's why they had to lie about him in order to convict him to death on the cross.
