The Self-Sufficiency of God
God doesn't need anything from us. He doesn't need our praise, worship, evangelism, or anything at all. He is perfect as He is, and if He weren't perfect and needed something from us, He wouldn't be worthy of our praise, honor, and worship. However, He is perfect, and we need Him! There is no salvation but through Him. He is our breath and life, our provider, and the only reason we are alive at all. Every living creature owes God worship for their life, because without Him, we wouldn't exist at all. We may never understand why God created us. Even when we leave the heaviness of our bodies behind and enter the heavenly realm, we may still not know Him fully or have all our questions answered.

Fountain of good, all blessing flows
From Thee; no want Thy fulness knows;
What but Thyself canst Thou desire?
Yet, self-sufficient as Thou art,
Thou dost desire my worthless heart.
This, only this, dost Thou require.
