Our beloved Jesus stands out amongst others. He calls us to come to him and rest in his presence, to find comfort under his branches and satisfaction with the fruit of his vine and healing with his leaves.

As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. Song of Solomon 2:3

His banner over us is love, and his passion for us is unending. We wait patiently for him to call us into his presence. We have so much love to look forward to, but in the meantime, he sends us reminders that he is with us; we call them God stories or testimonies where he has given us signs of his presence.

Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love. His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me. Song of Solomon 2:5-6

It is essential that we remember the instances where God has shown us His love and write them down as a memorial. This way, when things are going wrong, we can look back and have proof that He is with us, even when He is quiet.
