I received Jesus as my Savior as a child. When I was in my teens, I stepped outside of that faith and ventured to do things independently. I was like the prodigal son. Yesterday, I had a fleeting thought that took me back to my past, giving me a feeling of regret, but Jesus quickly reminded me of Peter. Peter denied Jesus three times and went on to become the creator of the church. He had first-hand knowledge of Jesus, walked with him physically, knew, without a doubt, he was God, and still rejected him because he feared man. Jesus forgave him. The next time you look back on your life with regret, stop! You are forgiven! We are very weak as humans, and Jesus knows that, yet still, he loves us and draws us close. So today, if you are feeling vulnerable in faith, remember Peter!

And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, Colossians 1:21-22

July 29

When Satan got thrown out of heaven, he took one-third of the angels with him, leaving two-thirds to serve God and protect us. Imagine how evil your heart is to want to rid the world of most people; we are beginning to see the first steps to making that happen with the drug companies producing the new booster. For years they’ve (whoever “they” are) tried different scenarios, only this time, people are catching on to their schemes and aren’t falling for the next wave of nothing. It’s pure propaganda, created to paralyze us with fear and line their pockets with profit; the people of the United States are more intelligent than that because we’ve been allowed to think for ourselves, as has much of the world. When people realize that those who’ve died over the last two years are nearly the same as the previous years, maybe they will wake up. Submitting to this new policy will be disastrous for our freedom; DO NOT SUBMIT. We may have been the freest country in the world, but we aren’t truly free, especially now that this dictatorship has taken over our country. These useless idiots in our government believe their allegiance with Satan is beneficial for them, but they will soon find out that God controls everything, even Satan. Though these things may seem frightening, do not fear, we have a two-thirds majority to help us in this fight! Fasten your seatbelts; the turbulence may get rough!

July 28

Circumstances are changing, like a ritual brought on by the powers and principalities of this world, as a last-ditch effort to control it. However, those powers didn’t expect the people to fight back; over the weekend, there were protests on every continent. It may have been the most significant worldwide revolt against tyranny that has ever been seen. There was nothing about it in the news on television. Wouldn’t you think that would be a front-page story? It would be if the news outlets weren’t in on the destruction. They are puppets in the hands of the elites who have decided to take control. Who is really in charge of our government? Why aren’t they fighting back on behalf of the people? Their hands are dirty, and their bank accounts are full! They began the indoctrination of our children many years ago and have poisoned their minds against freedom. Poisoned minds and poisoned bodies make it easy to control the masses. It feels like we are surrounded on every side, an impossible situation, but like Elisha said to the servant, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 

I point out these things to make you aware, not to scare you, but give you power behind your prayer. Not only are there more of us, but the host of heaven’s army also protects us. My confidence is in God and his will. He will not forsake us; I only wish he would hurry up and bring about their destruction. I know he has perfect timing, but the process is wearying. Continue to pray powerful, pointed prayers, and our Father in heaven will hear those prayers and answer them.

Then Elisha prayed and said, “O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:17

July 27

I had heard good things about a new restaurant in our area and decided to try it out for breakfast. I ordered an omelet with mushrooms and peppers with cheese. What I was expecting and what I got were two different things. When I eat, I eat a lot because I don’t fill up on carbs. The omelet I got looked like they ran out of ingredients and gave me the leftovers at the bottom of the container. There may have been one small mushroom cut up and half a slice of red bell pepper.  Six bites later, it was gone. I ate again an hour later. On top of that, the prices didn’t reflect them skimping on product. Needless to say, I won’t be eating there again. Whoever told me it was good must eat like a bird.

There is a substandard product out there that is served daily that lacks nutritional value. Its message is repeated incessantly and is geared to control your mind, and if you’re not careful, it will! Pray that the Holy Spirit will open your eyes and give you the courage to turn it off and direct you to the truth. Fill up on the whole of God’s Word, and you will find that your anxiety and fear will subside. Trust him and do not fear what man can do; we are to please God, not man.

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; Colossians 1:9-10

July 26

I usually get up before the sun comes up. I’m not one to turn on all the lights, I like to stay a little sleepy, but there are hazards to be aware of fumbling through the darkness. Just this morning, I took my phone and iPad off their chargers and moved them to the other counter, but because it was dark, I missed the counter entirely, and they both fell to the floor! Thankfully, neither was damaged. If you have kids, you know that it’s unsafe to wander around in the dark; stepping on one tiny Lego block could send your coffee flying! 

Even though I like the darkness in the mornings, I’m not truly in the dark used to describe evil in the Bible, but it uses it as a comparison; it makes perfect sense when you think about the many dangerous things that happen when it’s dark. Though I like sitting in physical darkness, because of Jesus, I am filled with light. When you feel you have entered an evil place, remember the light shining within you. Evil shudders when you come near.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14

July 25

Trying to stay positive and not give up is pretty hard to do nowadays. So if you are like me, and are feeling the pressure of evil around you, then it’s time to step up your worship. We cannot traverse this world knowing what we know about Jesus without bringing out the praise. He is the sole reason we have hope in the evil world. He is the power that gives us light in the darkness; he is the light! Carry that lamp with you everywhere you go; do not put it down for even a second. 

The enemy’s lies are not a secret anymore; they are right out in the open for all to see, but many still believe him. However, the elect will not fall for such schemes! If you’re not praying, worshiping, or concentrating on scripture, you are in danger of falling for the lies. Step it up now! Worship God harder than you ever have because time is short. Keep your lamp filled with oil.

 Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

July 24

Throughout the Bible, Old and New Testament, believers struggled and fought for their beliefs. So, you mean to tell me that in the most critical fight of all times, Christians will be taken out? Who are the Christians that will be persecuted during tribulation if the Holy Spirit is removed from the earth, and all the Christians are gone? 

Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:17

Do you really think the “Left Behind” series is going to convert enough people willing to sacrifice themselves for their weak belief in Jesus? Why do we call it “rapture” when the word is never mentioned in the Bible? It mentions “caught up in the clouds,” but is that literal? Maybe, but is it possible that verse has been explained away by those hoping we will long for such a trip that it takes us out of the fight because there is no point in defending ourselves? After all, we will be snatched away. Am I going to get lambasted for asking these questions? How dare I question the explanation fed to us over the years! What happened to hermeneutics when it comes to that particular verse?

I’m not saying it can’t happen; it happened to Elijah. However, is it possible that the explanation of the timing is off? Maybe I’m hoping for something different because I have a little bit of fear about flying through the air.

The point is that we need to stay in the fight!

July 23

When we moved, my topiary became damaged, and some of the fill came out. I’ve been procrastinating about repairing it, but I got a couple of new plants that needed a place to grow, so yesterday I decided that it was time. Forgetting about the razor-sharp edges on the bromeliads, I began making repairs without gloves and received a couple of itchy scratches. Once that happened, I put my gloves on the protect myself from getting any more.

Sometimes you have to work for things you love and struggle through the difficulties. In the end, it’s worth every ounce of stress and energy you exert. Don’t give up when life gets tough. Those scratches I got from the bromeliads are gone today, and if I wasn’t writing about it, I would have never remembered receiving them.

There is a reason for everything that happens in your life. We may not always know the reason, but God does. Even something as insignificant as my topiary became a lesson.

I found it interesting that while Paul was jailed in Caesar’s household, Nero’s wife and other staff became saved, according to Josephus. That, my friends, shows the goodness of God. Though it may have been difficult for Paul, God’s purpose for his captivity was achieved, and Cesar’s household became a church. Everything happens for a reason!

July 22

I’m not trying to distract you from what’s going on in the world, but now and then, we need to take a break from all the negative aspects of our lives and the things happening around us. We have come upon a dark pattern of existence, but only if we focus on worldly affairs. Rather than dwell on negative things, here’s what the Bible says to think about:

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8

Don’t shut out what’s going on because you must stay aware, but it’s better not to obsess over it. Take a break. It’s summer; go to the beach or the lake. Take a walk in the woods and spend some alone time with God. Do something that helps you connect with him on a deeper level. Make your primary focus the Father, and he will work out the plans for his children in due time.

July 21

Today is one of those days where I let distractions shift my morning focus from Jesus to other things going on in my home. I left dishes in the sink, and frankly, my kitchen was a mess! I felt I needed to clean all of that up before moving on to better things. When that happens, it takes me some time to get back into “Jesus” mode. Rather than let things go, and sit at the feet of Jesus like Mary, I began my day by rushing around, cleaning my house like I should have done last night. 

My dirty kitchen issue is just a minor thing compared to all the things our minds are contending with lately; governmental affairs, cost increases, supply shortages, a dwindling of our freedom, and so on; with all that, it’s easy to become anxious. It’s more important now than ever that we keep our eyes on Jesus and not let our minds wander off of him and become distracted by the nonsense going on around us. Though we can’t just sit back and watch these things happen without any action, ultimately, God is in control. Follow his lead, and when he wants you to act, the Holy Spirit will let you know. However, there is no reason to become anxious, we are loved beyond measure, and when we get to the next phase of our life in Jesus, we will see how frivolous our fretting was. Have peace in the tumult, my precious friends; we are very well-loved.

If you haven’t already, commit the following verses to memory.

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

July 20

Who do you try to please? If it’s other people, you will soon find yourself deflated. People have their expectations of you, and when you don’t fulfill them, they are disappointed. However, with God, he knows our weakness, he knows people, he knows that we contend with evil every day, and he forgives us of our shortcomings. That’s the kind of love he has for us. Set your face toward God, and don’t worry about what others think; ultimately, it is only he that matters. 

If we strive for excellence in him, though we may not meet the mark, he sees our forward trajectory and is pleased by our striving toward our goal, which is the upward call toward him.

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14

July 19

I have been a licensed real estate agent for 20 years, and I’ve learned a few tricks along the way. Buyers have an idea of what they want, but sometimes you have to show them something unexpected that doesn’t fit their criteria. There is also a specific order that you must adhere to when showing homes; you save the best for last by throwing a couple of unkempt homes in the mix so when you get to the house that you expect them to love, it’s a welcomed change, and it helps them decide to buy. These rules work with everyone, even your friends and aren’t limited to real estate; think about what helped you decide for Jesus. In a lot of cases, people turn their life over to him because they walked through a rough time in their life; when they learn that Jesus’s love erases all the sin they’ve involved themselves in, it’s a refreshing change. To know that they won’t have to pay the price for a less than exemplary lifestyle is like walking into that ideal home. It may not look like you imagined or planned, but when you see it, you know it’s perfect for you.

Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, Philippians 3:19-20

July 18

Over the past few days, I have written several posts without posting because the information contained in the original was less than encouraging. Unfortunately, life is not always peaches and cream; sometimes, it’s downright Limburger cheese. So, today I’m giving you a list of items we must each begin to pray about. I’m concerned about the direction our country is headed, with the government contacting Facebook over individual posts, door-to-door visits from government drug pushers, lack of response to the Cuban people in need of our help, and the promotion of the next wave of illnesses. The state-run media are staying quiet about these issues, but you can find this information by looking for the news conferences held by the Biden administration. I’ll bet most of you don’t know about the proof of election fraud found in Arizona and Georgia or that their governments had to admit that it’s true. Audits are going on all across the United States to prove we had a free and fair election or corruption like they found in Arizona and Georgia. If these audits are stopped because the state’s governments fear what will be found, then we’ve stepped right into a socialist trap. Once we cross the line, I can guarantee that we will have to go into hiding to worship Jesus. God is sending us a wake-up call; who will respond?

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:43-45

I’m studying Philippians, and the scripture that the Holy Spirit has me focused on comes with a warning. 

Look out for   the dogs, look out for   the evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh. Philippians 3:2

Would you consider the current viral crisis mutilation of the flesh? For some people, it is as many have died. What about all the children that have gone missing? Have they been sacrificed in Baal worship? Think about the people who want to change their sexual identity and believe it can be done with surgery. All of these could be considered mutilations of the flesh. The evildoers are the false prophets and those who teach that these issues are harmless. Keep your eyes open and pray against them. Here is some scripture follow-up: 

For  dogs encompass me; a company of evildoers   encircles me; they have   pierced my hands and feet  Psalms 22:16

Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of  the dog!  Psalms 22:20

Outside are  the dogs  and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. Revelation 22:15

July 16

Yesterday, I decided to have corned beef and cabbage for dinner. Early that morning, I put the ingredients into the crockpot so it could stew all day. I had a meeting, so I left and didn’t come back home until around noon. The meal was well underway. When I stepped out of my car in the garage, I could smell something stinky like garbage, but my trash was down by the road to be picked up. I had no idea what it could be until I opened the door; it was the cabbage! I had forgotten how nasty it smells. What was also gross, flies were waiting at my door trying to come into the house. I guess they thought it was garbage too! That smell is still lingering in my house this morning, but it was delicious!

The illicit underhanded ways of the devil are attractive to those who love sin; they are drawn to it like flies, and it’s delicious to them. The smell of it is disgusting like garbage to God, and he turns his face away from it. Sin is flaunted these days like a badge of honor, and it’s not even hidden from our children anymore. The only hope for this world is for them to turn their life over to Jesus. He is our only salvation in this dying world.

For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things? 2 Corinthians 2 15-16

July 15

I’m sure you’ve seen the pictures and videos of two random acts of God this week. One being the lightning strike that demolished the image of the idol of the woke cult, George Floyd. It struck precisely on his face crumbling the brick facade to the ground. There were no thunderstorms in the area and no record of the strike at the local weather station. Hmm, I wonder how that happened?

To set the scene for the second one, a reporter asked Conor McGregor, an MMA fighter, if he could beat Jesus in a fight, and he said, “even Jesus couldn’t beat me!” He arrogantly said something along the same line the day of the fight. In a cringe-worthy fashion, McGregor’s leg broke and bent like a rubber toy in the first round of his most recent fight. His opponent wasn’t even near that leg! God doesn’t play! When he decides to display his power for the masses, he does it in a way that grabs attention. In those two instances, it is evident that God had a hand in it.

When are people going to realize that our existence is not a game and we are meant for a higher purpose? The funny thing is, I’ll bet no one will wake up because of these two things being their minds are too overtaken by selfishness. In the light of these acts, you’ve got to wonder what kind of miraculous displays we will see as we near the end of Satan’s reign. Get out the popcorn and watch as it all unfolds before our very eyes.

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. Galatians 6:7

July 14

I like to shop on Amazon; it’s easy and keeps me from going to the store. I live close to a distribution center and can sometimes get my merchandise delivered the same day that I order it. I get excited when I see a product that offers same-day delivery. Disappointment comes when I hit the “pay” button and then see that the delivery date has changed; why that happens, I have no idea. The package still comes but is delayed. I compare it to what’s going on right now; it looks as though the New World Order is coming upon us quickly, and waiting on Jesus’s return or the earthy hero appointed by God to rescue us seems delayed. Anxiety and disappointment are running rampant among the people, but we must remember that all things will happen in God’s timing and not before. God is orderly, and nothing occurs until he gives his approval. Be patient; you are safe because your life is in the hands of God; it’s the people who’ve rejected Jesus that need to worry, not us.

For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. Habakkuk 2:3

July 13

This world is getting crazier by the day; I’m trying not to gloat over what’s about to happen, but I’m anxious for the day that we get to see all of the Satan worshipers and Christ deniers bow their knees upon hearing the name of Jesus. All those rejecting him and causing havoc for the children of God will find themselves face to face with a power beyond their wildest imagination and seeing what we already see, that he is indeed the Savior of the world. Those who are in Christ, but fast asleep concerning the prophecy that’s unfolding before our eyes, will be rudely awakened, but in a good way. We are closer than ever to his return! I’m sorry for often repeating the same thing; it’s hard not to shout it from the rooftop when all the pieces are beginning to fall into place. This event is worldwide; we are seeing oppression happening everywhere, near and far. Even in the freest country globally, we are seeing the government overstepping its authority with its plans. Brace yourself for the return of our King! We are living in exciting times!

Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

July 12

Our best hope is Jesus. This world has gone mad, but our Savior is with us; therefore, we have no fear of its destruction. Rest knowing we are safe; it is those who worship Satan who must fear. The recompense of the wicked is here and now. The deceiver’s reign is coming close to an end. Rejoice that God will spare you because your heart is aligned with Jesus. If you haven’t prayed Psalms 91 in a while, it’s time to pray it again. Pray its words in your home. Pray its words around your home. Pray for the Holy Spirit to turn your home and surrounding area into a fortress, impenetrable by Satan and his workers of evil. They will be coming to your door, so make sure your defense is strong.

I pray this prayer over my family: Lord, I ask you to watch over my family and me, surround us with your fortress, cover us with your shield, and place your mighty warrior angels around us to keep us safe and free from the fiery darts of Satan. Amen.

Add to that Psalms 91, and believe God’s promises.

A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. Psalms 91:7-8

July 11

I love plants. I went to a plant show yesterday and found some unusual varieties that I had never seen. I purchased a couple, so now I will try to cultivate them to make more. I love other things like sewing and crafting, but I always garden no matter what I choose as my next whim. It’s work, especially the landscape, but it’s always worth it. When you love something, you focus a lot of time and energy on it. Even when you get sidetracked on other things, your heart returns to that love. 

After I get my landscape the way I want it, it manages itself with me doing minor weeding and trimming. 

My point today is, if you love something, you put effort into it. Watch what happens to your yard if you neglect it; it becomes overtaken by weeds, your plants become leggy, and it looks as though no one lives there. Sadly, that’s what happens to us when we neglect our relationship with Jesus. If you truly love Jesus, you will put as much effort into cultivating a relationship with him as you do your hobby.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. Philippians 1:21-22
