To the followers of Christ: If you are being accused of something, how do you handle it? What do you say to your accusers? I tried to put myself in Jesus' position when the J*ws and religious leaders were accusing him of being a Samaritan and having a devil, which, to a J*w, was like getting slapped in the face. He stayed calm but didn't back down; he didn't cower as they used vicious words to condemn him.
Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me. And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. John 8:49-50
So remember: the next time you face accusations, even though you are a Christ-follower, you don't have to cower and walk away; Jesus didn't; he wasn't afraid, and he stood up for himself. When someone is barking vicious words at you, and while the words are still coming out of their mouth, in your mind, call out to Jesus. I've had situations like that de-escalate minutes after I used his name.
