To the followers of Christ: For the most part, a clear difference exists between those who are of God and those who are of the devil. If you are of God, you love Jesus and those who follow him. If you are of the devil, everything about him offends you. Jesus was speaking to the scribes and Pharisees:
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. John 8:42
Today, it's hard to tell the difference between truth and a lie. We are bombarded with mixed messages and encounter so many different church denominations that spin their message in ways that even the most discerning can miss the truth, because it can be obscured. Even seeing people calling upon the name of Jesus, and discerning whether they are calling Satan by the name of Jesus, or if they are calling on the one true God, who is Jesus himself. Their actions are the only way to know; they will eventually behave in a way that brings the truth into the light. We all occasionally slip up because we live in the flesh, but for the most part, a true person of Jesus will try to represent him well.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44
Pray hard for discernment so you don't fall into the devil's trap.
