April 8

God will open your eyes to the truth in the scriptures; ask him to help you. Much of what you know was taught to you by others, which may now need to be unlearned or cleaned up. May God reveal the truth, and the deception and fog of the enemy be seen by all who love Jesus. Jesus never stopped teaching in parables, so you need him to break through to the truth with the power that lives within anyone who is called by the name of Christ. We all need clarity to see what is coming if that interests you. Otherwise, settle into the comfort of knowing that you are saved by faith in Jesus and what is in store for our future is of no consequence to you. However, I would like to know what’s coming, so I will muddle through the scriptures and hope that my eyes are opened to see what our future holds. 

Are we living in the times prophesied by Ezekiel, Daniel, John, and others?  Yes, I believe we are. Hold onto your hats and hang on! There may be some steep drops on this roller coaster! No need to worry; we are favored and loved by the Father, and he does not intend harm for those who love him.

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

April 7

Have you witnessed it? I have! God’s power is mighty and sure, and it’s at work all the time. However, we are so focused on other things; we might miss the pouring out of his love. God can show off, and sometimes he does, but most of the time, his blessing comes subtly; if you’re not paying attention, you will miss it. He plays along with our whims and allows us to make mistakes, but eventually, after we recognize that our decision may have been a bad idea, he helps set us back onto his perfect path. Oh, and guess what? He never lets a bad idea go to waste; he will use it as a tool to train us and turn our hearts back toward him. Now, getting back to his power, remember your thoughts because if you do, you will find that he will give you your desires. He has given me things I’ve never prayed for, but he knows my heart and pours out his love for me by showing me that he hears me, even though I never uttered a word. What I’m talking about are material things, not just spiritual things. He gave us this physical life, so his gifts are not just spiritual; watch for them and see what wondrous love he has for you, his child.

May he grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans! Psalms 20:4

April 6

Is anyone else afraid of what has happened to the church? Have we become so blinded by all the bells and whistles that we don’t see what’s going on right before our eyes? I fear that the enemy has struck us hard and soiled even some of the most seemingly righteous people. There’s something in my spirit that’s alerting me to be cautious. The enemy has set a narrative that we must follow so he can complete his dirty deeds. Why? I think it’s to keep the people spiritually dead, so they can’t see the truth. Consider that it may be necessary for you to relearn the truth about who God is. It began with someone else telling you what God meant by specific passages in scripture. Now is the time for you to stand on your own two feet, and start listening to the Holy Spirit for yourself, and stop relying on someone else explaining it to you and possibly leading you in the wrong direction. It’s time for you to become a Berean.

Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. Acts 17:11

April 5

Jesus made himself known after his resurrection. He appeared to many people showing that he was very much alive and in the flesh. There were witnesses to this truth; we do not only believe the testimony of one but of many. 

How do you convince someone that the Bible is authentic? I’m continually saying that the Bible is the only truth, but how do we prove that it is God’s holy Word? There are many ways, but the easiest way is to rely on the Holy Spirit to convince.

Our best way to personally prove it is to live a life holy and acceptable to God and not conform to the world's standards. Jesus is our standard; though it seems high, we should strive toward that goal daily. It won’t be until we meet him that we achieve that goal, but in the meantime, we can enjoy the journey. The change others see in our lives will be the proof.

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2

April 4

HE IS RISEN! It seems that no matter what a person's belief is, Resurrection Day is celebrated. Whether it’s marked as Easter and the bunny or as our Savior’s resurrection, attention is paid by all because of its significance. It seems that no matter what a person believes, it’s as if all are bowing down to him and paying respect to him even though they may consider it something else. Jesus has recovered this day from the nefarious practices of the evil pagans and made it holy. 

Every day belongs to God, no matter how you use it, but today marks the day Jesus rose from the dead because death could not hold him in its clutches and was defeated. Because of that, we have the offer of eternal life through him. Our only obligation is to accept His free gift of forgiveness, believe that he is the son of God, and turn and follow him. Isn’t that wonderful! All that baggage that we have collected during our lifetime can be given to him, and he will deliver it to the pit of hell, saving us from eternal damnation. 

If you haven’t turned your life over to him, make today the day.

April 3

 

Today is a genuinely solemn day. A day of quiet respect for the LORD, as he was fighting a spiritual battle for our souls while his body lay dead in the tomb. But, not for long, tomorrow is coming.

Jesus is LORD. If you don’t believe he is by now, then your heart is hardened by unbelief. There is enough evidence to prove that he is who he says he is, and if you still don’t believe, then you probably desire to stay in your sin; your heart is like a rock and unmovable. Hell is real; turn away from your unbelief today and ask Jesus to help you if you can muster up the courage to utter the words. 

So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews. Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, since the tomb was close at hand, they laid Jesus there. John 19:40-42

April 2

I posted a video to my Facebook profile earlier this morning that helps make sense of Good Friday and what happened on that great day, and you must watch it. If Facebook puts a target on it, please message me, and I will send you the link. It is not political; it is about Jesus and an interesting archaeological find that gives us concrete proof that everything you’ve heard about him is true. Watch it to the end because there is an incredible revelation during the conclusion that can verify that Jesus is who he says he is and is still alive. We, his followers, know these things are true because we have faith and trust in the Word of God, our Bible, but imagine having it verified! Today is not a good day; it is a GREAT day. This news gives us more conclusive evidence that Jesus is our Lord and Savior. 

I saw this video posted on a site that’s not censored last night, but didn’t watch it, and this morning, the Holy Spirit wouldn’t let me go any further in my study until I saw it. It is significant; other videos confirm the information revealed, but I haven’t watched those as of yet, and intend to follow through after I post this information. April 1

Do you ever argue with God? Yesterday, I had a young man sitting in my kitchen whose dad gave us an estimate for some minor repairs. He had just had his eyes dilated and was having a hard time seeing, so he sat down while his dad met with my husband. He was super quiet, but I made him talk to me and tell me what was going on with his eyes. He told me he had surgery a while back to correct a lazy eye, but now he is having trouble seeing. Here is where the argument with God ensued; I heard him tell me to go and pray for him. Though it should be natural for me, I find it hard to open myself up to rejection. However, when God wants you to do something, he makes an excellent case, so there’s no point in arguing; just get up and do it! Imagine that; he was receptive and allowed me to pray for him. Was this a challenge to get me out of my comfort zone, or was I planting a seed for a later harvest? I’m sure of neither, but I was obedient to do what God told through the nudging of the Holy Spirit. Will his eye be healed? I have no clue; that’s up to God, but I did my part, and at that moment, the young man got to experience the presence of God through my obedience.

No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. Romans 4:20-21

March 31

Spring brings some marvelous things. I’m especially intrigued by the birds that flock to Florida in droves to escape the cold. They bring me such joy because of their song and peace because of their presence. This year I received a special blessing, new life! Within my staghorn fern, a wren decided to make its nest. It was the perfect place and is within a closed space in my backyard, so large critters that could cause them harm cannot get in. I only notice when examining the fern while preparing to clean off the dead leaves. There they were, newly hatched babies waiting for their mom to bring them some dinner. I carefully took a picture and moved away so I wouldn’t disturb them. How sweet is it that we get to experience such things and that our magnificent creator draws our attention to his creations? Fresh new life is what happens every day as we release all the dead within us, making room for the presence of the Holy Spirit. Start fresh today; rid yourself of whatever is causing you stress and add something new that brings glory to God. After all, he is the only one we need to please.

March 30

Some days, God’s word is encouraging and uplifting, but he is not only about our warm and fuzzy feelings; he is firm and expects our obedience. God has blessed me with the courage to step out and post a daily message that he reveals to me through the scriptures and the Holy Spirit, but it will all come to nothing if it is not received and acted upon by the reader. There is no such thing as a participation trophy in God’s kingdom, and whatever work I do will be refined by fire. If my work survives the refining fire, it will become a reward, but if it all comes to nothing, I will, at the least, escape with my life. 

Here is what I love the most about my mission, some of the seeds I’ve been watering are growing because I’ve seen it manifest in many of my friends. The exciting part is, in turn, they are either planting seeds or watering them. We are coworkers with a common objective to bring new life into the saving knowledge of Jesus. Keep on snatching people from the fire, my friends; the more that make it into the kingdom, the merrier it will be.

each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. 1 Corinthians 3:13

March 29

 

If you are worried or even slightly concerned about what is going on in the world right now, stop. The Spirit that dwells within us already knows the outcome; listen to him. No matter what transpires, we must remember that we are precious to the LORD, and he wants only good for us. I’m excited to see what happens because I know that I am loved, and my Father would not harm me. The world that most people live in doesn’t reflect the power and spirit of the living God, so they don’t see his hand at work among us; it makes sense that all we hear about is doom and gloom. The confidence I have doesn’t reflect the negative power of fear because I can see something incredible happening spiritually, which will affect us physically and make our world a better place to live within. Spend a few extra moments praising him this week, and you will begin to see his blessings on your life. There is something special about Passover that makes me feel extra close to the LORD; pay attention and see if you notice it too.

But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10

March 28

Passover began at sunset yesterday. It is the holiest time of the year, and leads to our celebration of salvation. Since most of us were not brought up following Jewish customs, we don’t have traditions or rituals associated with the Biblical feasts. There is nothing more precious than what Jesus did for us on the cross, and the least we could do is to acknowledge these appointed feasts and honor our Savior. 

The Jews were slaves to the Egyptians, and God devised a plan to get them out of captivity. He used many signs and wonders to open up a path for their freedom, confounding the Egyptians so they could make their escape. It was scary for them to make such a bold move, but God gave them courage, and his plan fell into place. 

One notable thing to take away from their experience was when they escaped Egypt, they left the burden of slavery behind. What burden are you holding onto that is too heavy for you to carry that you should have left behind when you accepted the gift of salvation? Jesus saved you and took the weight of your past that enslaves you. Let go of that garbage! You don’t need it because it will bog you down as you try to cross the Red Sea to freedom. What I’m talking about is releasing your fears, regrets, trauma, unbelief, and the pain of rejection and turning them over to Jesus. You can use those things to help others without carrying the weight of them. Today, and during this holy feast of Passover, ask God what you need to release to him so that you can walk in complete freedom just as the Israelites did. 

Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 1 Corinthians 5:7-8

March 27

 

We are truly living during a historical time! Things are happening that only God could orchestrate. There is much that the devil has a hand in, but I believe we will see a majority of that come to an end. Stop sulking and worrying, God is in control, and that’s an excellent place to be; in a world where God is in control! I can’t make this stuff up! I’m following along in my Bible, and during my daily reading, I can see the words stepping off the page and coming to life. 

For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.” Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 1 Corinthians 1:19-20

What we are witnessing in the news is so ridiculous that it cannot be real. What is going on? What you just read, that’s what’s going on! God is making a mockery of those who think they are wise, but he has given his children a glimpse into what he sees, which is foolishness, and showing us the steps he’s taking to remedy our situation. Take a deep breath, wash your face, and enjoy your weekend; things are turning for the better; just wait and see!

March 26

With the world in crisis, there is a constant murmur from the people over the governments' tyrannical lockdowns; people are crying out and fighting back in protest. The messages filtered by the various news outlets barely show the truth of what’s going on. I implore you to branch out and look for honest sources, so you are not blindsided by God’s plan that is unfolding before our eyes. If you don’t tune into alternative streams, you’re not going to know what hit you.

Imagine being in Egypt and living as a slave of Pharaoh, then God releases you from captivity, and you decide that you would instead go back to slavery rather than face your fear of the unknown. God has formulated a plan, and the pieces are falling into place, but what it may reveal could be devastating for those unaware. If you are reading this post on Facebook, you’re not getting the whole truth because of censorship. Branch out, step out of your comfort zone and open your eyes to what’s happening around the world. We are at the pinnacle of a Red Sea moment; don’t miss it because you lack information.

Will God use the week of Passover to set the captives free, even those who don’t know they are enslaved? Maybe; it begins at dark tomorrow. Sit back and watch, the LORD is fighting for all of us!

The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” The LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward. Exodus 14:14-15

March 25

How can I get you to think beyond your current realm? Our time on this earth is temporary, meaning there is much more to life than what we see, and we WILL see it in one form or another. If you believe the Bible, then you know that there are beings not of this earth. For instance, the angels; are heavenly beings, and they manifest physically on occasion. The demons are just fallen angels, and they are here with us. Not only are there angels, but the Bible mentions others. Do you remember reading about the Nephilim? According to Moses, they were gigantic, and they procreated with earthly women to create the Anakim. The Anakim were the people that kept the Israelites from moving into the promised land for forty years because they were afraid of them. God told the Israelites to kill off everyone in the land, but they failed at that assignment and have paid the price ever since. So, does that mean the Anakim are still alive today? Your guess is as good as mine, but doesn’t that pique your curiosity? Don’t you think the God of all creation can create whatever type of celestial being he chooses to? Dig into this yourself; it’s pretty interesting.

Look up these words in your Bible: Anakim, Anakites, Anak, Nephilim

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. Genesis 6:4

And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim), and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them.” Numbers 13:33

March 24

Do you ever have days where it seems nothing goes right? From daylight to dark, you have to dodge bullets, arrows, and boulders like you’ve been targeted, making you want to run and hide. May I suggest that you do precisely that? Run and hide in Jesus! 

There is a great need for us to set our thoughts on him throughout our day. It’s easy to get caught up in the rat-race, focusing only on our current situation, but I can tell you, my best days are the ones where I focus my attention on Jesus. I’ve noticed that when I reflect on him, he seems to put a force field of protection around me, and when challenges come, I’m able to process them more easily. Include him in your problems; he wants to help you; you only need to ask. Even if he doesn’t bring about a miracle, when you change your focus from your problems to Jesus, he gives you the confidence to get you through it.

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. Romans 13:14

March 23

Has the shock of circumstances worn off of you? We have become desensitized by situations and no longer look upon the news in horror. There is a good reason; we’ve been lied to so much that we’ve become cynical and distrustful of the reporting agencies because we’ve seen that their motives aren’t pure. Remember seeing a weather reporter struggling to stand because of the wind, and in the background, you can see two people walking by effortlessly? It’s not a bad thing to be skeptical; I think we’ve reached a different level of intelligence when we can see through the lies and set our minds to seek the truth. We have to ask, “are they making up the news because there is nothing to report?” Is what we think we see the truth, or is it computer-generated or play-acting? 

There may be a deeper meaning to our words. For instance, why do we call the news “media,” and why is the box that sits in our living room called a “tell-a-vision?” If you look-up media in the search bar, once you get past today’s definition, you will find a story and a painting of a Greek goddess called Media or Medea. The picture depicts a woman killing her child. The television is projecting a vision, but not necessarily the truth. You can come to your own conclusion about those two words. Open your eyes and seek the wisdom of God.

For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. James 3:16-17

March 22

We each have our own set of circumstances that require us to call on God for his intervention. In addition to our personal problems, our country and other countries around the world need him to intervene because of the perceived takeover by a worldly organization set to take away the power of the people. If we don’t continue to seek God for his mercy daily, that powerful organization could take over, and our personal issues could become insurmountable and will pale in comparison to what they are now. 

I came across a significant verse that caught my attention in the book of Romans. Paul wrote the book of Romans; God sent him to minister to us, the gentiles. Here is what he tells us to do: 

and in order that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles, and sing to your name.” And again it is said, “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people.” Romans 15:9-10

Did you catch that? Glorify God for his mercy! Here’s what “glorify” means: From G1391; to render (or esteem) glorious (in a wide application): - (make) glorify (-ious), full of (have) glory, honour, magnify.

I know we do this on Sunday with our praise and worship time, but it needs to be done daily, at every opportunity we get. We MUST glorify, honor, and magnify him! Reach out to him so he will have mercy on us.

March 21

I feel concerned about those who chase after an abundance of possessions without first considering the wealth of their soul and the building-up of relationships through love, the things that money cannot buy. Yes, I know we have to work to sustain ourselves physically. Still, if we don’t balance our physical and spiritual lives carefully, we will end up with only possessions and people around us who have little care for us that are only there for what our money can do for them and not because we nurture their souls.

If you haven’t gotten to the point of enriching your spiritual wealth, may I suggest that you have a conversation with God and ask him to help you change your heart? Ask him to enable you to love people the way he does. Praying this one prayer can change your life and the lives of those around you. After all, loving God and loving people is the point of the scriptures. If you conquer these two things, you will have reached the pinnacle of your existence.

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39
