Amos warns against desiring the coming day of the Lord. The enemy mocks that day to cause the world to be complacent as if they have nothing to dread. We know the truth; without salvation, through Jesus, the people will perish and never be taken to heavenly places. What a sorrowful day that will be! A day of darkness where no one can revive the light. If a sinner thinks they will escape dreadful consequences when the Lord comes, they will only be met by a more harsh punishment from God. Pray for your loved ones that they come to know Jesus soon and stop rejecting him. Don’t let them fool you. Everyone knows who he is. If they know about Christmas and Easter, they’ve heard of Him but have rejected his gift. We must all dismiss the programming we’ve endured since childhood and see things the way God presents them, in spirit and truth. The cognitive dissonance is alarming. They know the truth but don’t care about the consequences. To end on a positive note, those who believe in Jesus are saved by grace through faith, and our holy bliss is waiting for us.

Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it? Amos 5:18-20
