April 10

There are times when you realize just how important it is to have friends in the faith and their dedication to jump in and help at a moments notice. Sometimes the best help is the easiest to accomplish, prayer! A simple word lifted up to the Father may be all that’s needed, after all, where does our help come from? It comes from the Lord. I’ve been shouting for joy since yesterday’s big win before the county commissioners, and I attribute it to my friends interceding before the throne. Whatever direction God chose to take this, would have been the right answer to prayer, but being it was the direction our minds had been set on, it made the answer so much sweeter. There have been times where we’ve felt blessed, and times we’ve felt abandoned, but at no point has our faithful Father ever left our side, He just offered us challenges that He knew we could overcome because it is He who strengthens us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing in our burden by taking a moment to pray.

Please read the scripture. It’s incredible to me how the pieces so closely match my situation.

I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Yet it was kind of you to share my trouble. Philippians 4:10-14
