My study on “the day of the Lord” has been good and eye-opening. I’m not sure if I’m finished with this study. However, I cannot reconcile the following verses with the pre-tribulation rapture teaching. They seem clear to me, but scripture seems to go against the teachings of some churches. These are Jesus’s words! I feel like the scriptures speak for themselves. Even Job knew. Though some in the 1800s who didn’t believe the pre-tribulation rapture were called heretics, I don’t believe your understanding of this subject will keep you out of heaven because we are saved by grace. Are we nearing tribulation? It seems that way, but hardships have happened in the past, and many thought the end was near, only to see the turmoil pass. Pray for understanding, pray for our country, and pray for the world. I will continue to dig deep, and if I come up with a different conclusion, I will let you know.

After tribulation we will see Jesus coming in the clouds:

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matthew 24:29-30

Heavens be no more and the wrath be past:

So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep. O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! Job 14:12-13

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Luke 21:36

Don’t miss what’s going on around you. We are entering a challenging time; we may have to deal with the side effects of God’s recompense on the evil of this world. The enemy is stirred and lashing out. Are you sensitive to what is happening? Do you feel it? Stay vigilant and continue in your calling. God has not given us the spirit of fear! If not God, then who? Remember this: when fear strikes you, it’s the enemy’s taunting. Fear only comes from the enemy. Rebuke him and pray.

Do not trust in man, but trust Jesus! He is about saving our soul, not our flesh or this world. Remember when Jesus said this:

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. Luke 21:8

“Many shall come in my name; he does not mean in the name of Jesus, though there were some deceivers who pretended commissions from him, but usurping the title and character of the Messiah.” Matthew Henry

Hmm, usurpers of the title and character of the Messiah; I wonder who is doing that right now. Nevertheless, we are not to fear what is coming.

“There shall be famines and pestilences, the common effects of war, which destroys the fruits of the earth, and, by exposing men to ill weather and reducing them to ill diet, occasions infectious diseases.” Matthew Henry

“Be not dismayed at the signs of heaven, for the heathen are dismayed at them, Jeremiah 10:2. And, as to the famines and pestilences, you fall into the hands of God, who has promised to those who are his that in the days of famine they shall be satisfied, and that he will keep them from the noisome pestilence; trust therefore in him, and be not afraid.” Matthew Henry

I’ve given you a lot of quotes from Matthew Henry today because what he said is a picture of what we are dealing with now. He wrote this commentary in the 1700s. These words give me peace and assurance that we will prevail no matter which way the world goes. Have confidence that we are living out the plan of God, and he holds us in his loving hands.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like there has been a change in the atmosphere. The heaviness seems to have lifted. Did it have something to do with the 9th of Av, which was yesterday? In the past, it was a day that a lot of bad things happened to Israel. I feel thankful that we are beyond it. However, my reflection on the scriptures was deepened by the Holy Spirit, and anytime you spend a significant amount of time in God’s Word, he blesses you, and I feel that’s what happened to me. When God gives you clarity on someone or something, you cannot unsee it, and it’s a blessing that God trusts you to with that information. We may differ on some things we believe. However, there is one thing we can agree on: that we cannot live without Jesus. He is the reason for our holiness here on earth and our hope for the future. Nobody can do that for us; he is our one and only. We are blessed and secure in him. Rest now because this world is wild and will only worsen. Sleep in your armor, but know this: our Savior has commanded his angels to watch over us.

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. Psalms 91:14-16

August 13, 2024

After coming to grips with the possibility that we may be here during the tribulation, I have settled myself. We will not be the ones facing God’s wrath; that is what the unbelievers and persecutors will face. Remember what Jesus says in Matthew 10:28

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Believe me when I say I want to be raptured out of here before the tribulation begins, but the further I dig into the scriptures, the less I believe that will happen. I’m not trying to spoil your imagination, but I want you to prepare your hearts for the likelihood that the “Day of the Lord” is one day at the end of time. I’m starting to believe that Jesus will come in the clouds to gather his people right before he destroys the heaven and earth. With all the lies that we’ve been told about everything, why wouldn’t the devil infiltrate the church and steer us in the wrong direction so we would become complacent? If he surprises us because of a lie, we will not have time to contemplate our reaction to the mark and may take it because we thought we would be gone. All I’m saying is prepare your heart in case we are not raptured before tribulation begins. Confirm in your mind how you will react if presented with the option of the mark. If we are gone, praise God. I’m still hoping.

August 12, 2024

The Day of the Lord will be unwelcome by those who exalt themselves and accept worship that belongs to God alone. Those who have put their trust in money, silver, and gold, or fake gods will be brought low. God is jealous, and anytime something or someone is praised above him, it causes him to seethe with anger. Those who aren't humble will be brought low that day.

The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: Isaiah 2:11-12

However, that is different for us. We put no value on the physical things of this world and put all our trust in God alone. No other being can do what God does for us. We place our confidence in no one besides God and await that day with open arms as a Savior reaches out and relieves us of our weariness from our time in the enemy's dominion. Stay prayerful in the hope that those around us seek the Lord as we have and are saved from the wrath that will come upon the people and beings of the earth that day.

August 11, 2024

In this day and age, we must be mindful of everything we see and believe. We live in a time drawing near the "Day of the Lord!" We wait in anticipation, but according to Paul, there are a couple of things that must happen first:

  1. The falling away of the elite.
  2. The Son of Perdition (antichrist) is revealed.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2 Thessalonians 2:3

Matthew Henry's thoughts on the antichrist; "By pretended devotion, superstition and idolatry were advanced; and, by a pretended zeal for God and his glory, bigotry and persecution were promoted." He thought it was the Pope, but he may not be. Too much has happened to dismiss that idea.

Also, according to Matthew Henry, the second letter to the Thessalonians is to clarify the first. He is explaining that those who die that love the Lord will ascend before those who are still alive so they won't worry about their family who misses Jesus's return. Is there a difference between the "Day of the Lord" and the "Day of Christ?" Wouldn't the "Day of the Lord" be His third return if they were different days? You can see that I'm trying to work out my thoughts according to the scripture. I've prayed for understanding and that He would fill in the gaps in my mind. However, I don't want to wait until the end of the world to find out. I'm still praying for clarity and waiting. Does any of this matter in the whole scheme of things? No. However, I don't want a surprise. We must put our trust in Jesus because, ultimately, he is the One who will walk us through it. Keep your eyes on Him!

August 10, 2024

Even though things seem bad now, they will only worsen. If given a choice to live and deny Christ or die the death of a martyr to the glory of God, could you do it? I’m afraid that choice may be coming sooner than you think. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I’m worried that the one we believe is going to save us from disaster here in the United States may be the antichrist. Remember, Jesus told us that, if possible, even the elect would be deceived. Who has the elect wrapped around his little finger? The thought is devastating, and I’m crushed. If this is true, we will watch the great falling away happen in real time. What are the people of the world saying? Aren’t they all hoping that this candidate wins so he will save the world? He has been pulling all the strings; he is the puppet master. Some follow backdoor information (I’m not writing it out because the post will be flagged), and everything written in it is like a prophecy, and it’s all happening as written. Who could predict such things and know all the outcomes? I’ll tell you: Satan’s anointed! For one, the shot heard around the world was predicted. This man is not Jesus, yet we are all treating him like he’s our savior. Don’t get me wrong, up until this point, I was a big fan. I’m devastated. Let’s be honest; he will take power whether you vote for him or not. There is much more than what I’ve shared that points to him. Think about it; the pieces fit together like a puzzle.

Would you rather me keep this to myself or tell you so you can prepare your heart to refuse the mark and face possible martyrdom? I know this is shocking; it is to me, too, but Jesus will help us get through it. Trust Him!

I hope I’m wrong.

If you challenge me or post a negative comment, I’ll delete it.

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13

August 9, 2024

Sometimes, we need a reminder concerning the things we already know. You’ve read and studied your Bible and seen the truth, but it’s more than that. You’ve got your mind right; now, work on your heart. We’ve heard it said, to the point of ad nauseam, but I will repeat it once again: our relationship with God is the most important thing for us to cultivate. He created the angels to worship Him and do his bidding, but he made us for a relationship. He gave us our minds, and we can choose whether to worship him or something else. We know this, but as I walked on the beach yesterday, I got a strong impression of God’s heart; it is broken because we don’t love him well. He loves us and is good to us, but sometimes we fail to love Him back. That breaks my heart. We’ve all experienced rejection, and it hurts deeply; imagine how God feels. He pours out His love for us and gets rejected. My heart is crushed when one person rejects me; imagine being rejected by millions. Shore up your relationship with Him. Worship Him in spirit and truth; pour your heart into loving Him. That’s what He truly wants. If you get that right, everything else in your life will fall into place. He is good to those who love Him. He’s coming soon, but let’s love Him well here and now.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Revelation 22:20

August 8, 2024

The Lord keeps his promises. We can be sure that what Jesus said will happen even though it may seem slow to come to us. Our sense of time differs from God’s because eternity is very long, and our lives on earth are comparatively short. During our stint on earth, we must make some decisions concerning our future. Can you imagine getting it wrong and never having another day of peace, ever? Repentance is necessary, and trusting and loving Jesus is required. We are given every opportunity to trust him, but at some point, our time will end, and we will be left without another chance. I know you consider yourself a Christ-follower, but have you indeed turned your life over to him? Do you wholly trust him? It is an act of submission. You have to relinquish control. That means that in the face of adversity, you have no fear of what is to come because you know God is in control and you are in his loving hands. You leave all your worries at the foot of the cross. This doesn’t mean you won’t have trouble; we are living in the enemy’s territory, and he will do his best to distract us from the truth, but when we stand firm, God will rescue us from the enemy’s clutches. Hold on to what you have until the end, and you will be saved.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10

August 7, 2024

The stresses of this world are building, and fear is gripping many. However, we, the elect, can be sure God will look upon us with mercy because of our beloved Savior. Are we witnessing the end of days or an elaborate plan to make it look like the end of days? We can’t be sure, so we prepare as if we are nearing the end by trusting in Jesus to carry us through however it plays out. Remember, Noah built the ark to prepare, and everyone else continued what they were doing until the day his family entered the ark. When that water started coming from the sky, which had never happened before that day, you have to wonder if some began to repent. We will be protected like Noah and his family, who were protected from the water. Many will pass away before any destruction starts, but that’s okay, too, because one way or the other, our Savior will protect us. Prepare like Noah and be ready no matter what happens. Do not worry or fear, but praise the Lord with your every breath and hold tight to Him in every situation. A lot of extraneous information is being disseminated; make sure you measure it by the scriptures. Jesus is our hope for the future, whether here or beside Him in the heavenly realm. Hold tight to what you have, and let no one deceive you.

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24:38-39

August 6, 2024

I watched a video of a man who had come back to life several times. He was also a hospice volunteer and had assisted those on their deathbeds, so he was with people moving into their spiritual selves. The main thrust of his testimony was that we should stop fearing death because we do not die; we are only unburdened by our bodies. He never said he was a believer. However, he did not fear what would come, so I don't think he faced hell. I don't know if he was telling the truth or just sensationalizing for clicks on his video; however, what he said matched scripture concerning the ever-after. As believers, we shouldn't fear death because we will go into the presence of Jesus and should welcome it. I know what you're thinking; what about the people we leave behind? If you are concerned about your loved ones and their trajectory after the body's demise, do your work now; don't wait. Close that door so you can leave this realm with confidence. Once you've planted and watered seeds, it's up to the Holy Spirit to draw them in, but it's up to them to bear fruit. Remember, you will only leave this world alone if you don't trust your life to Jesus, but if you love him, your angel will be right there to assist you when you cross that glorious bridge.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. Matthew 25:46

Amos warns against desiring the coming day of the Lord. The enemy mocks that day to cause the world to be complacent as if they have nothing to dread. We know the truth; without salvation, through Jesus, the people will perish and never be taken to heavenly places. What a sorrowful day that will be! A day of darkness where no one can revive the light. If a sinner thinks they will escape dreadful consequences when the Lord comes, they will only be met by a more harsh punishment from God. Pray for your loved ones that they come to know Jesus soon and stop rejecting him. Don’t let them fool you. Everyone knows who he is. If they know about Christmas and Easter, they’ve heard of Him but have rejected his gift. We must all dismiss the programming we’ve endured since childhood and see things the way God presents them, in spirit and truth. The cognitive dissonance is alarming. They know the truth but don’t care about the consequences. To end on a positive note, those who believe in Jesus are saved by grace through faith, and our holy bliss is waiting for us.

Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it? Amos 5:18-20

The book of Obadiah was a prophecy against Edom. The country of Edom helped plunder Israel after others had overtaken them and were, therefore, guilty and would face calamity because of their participation. If you’ve read my posts from the last several days, you will notice I’m covering the day of the Lord. That is a common theme of the prophets. Edom may not have warred against Israel, but they were guilty of taking their belongings.

Now that we are one with Jesus through our salvation, we can expect that God, because of His love for us, will punish anyone who participates in our undoing. Our current government is participating in the attack on our Christian values and is pushing an agenda that is entirely against the Almighty God. They will fail; it is guaranteed. God will only allow such behavior to continue for a season, and then he will bring vengeance upon our enemies. Do not be dismayed if that unqualified cackling hyena gets into office. God places whomever He wants into office because He has a plan and purpose for them. He will set them up for destruction, and we will be ever so grateful that He did. If that happens, we can almost be sure we will see Jesus coming in the clouds in our lifetime. He is so close that the anticipation is getting stronger. Wait for it; it will surely come.

For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head. For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been. Obadiah 1:15-16

August 3, 2024

Though you may feel anxious and oppressed over the condition of our world, a day is coming when Jesus will wash away all of those feelings. I can assure you that all your fears are unfounded because of the promises of God’s mercy. The enemy is stirred and wreaking havoc on everyone, but we are saved, set aside, and loved beyond our comprehension. We have set our eyes upon the Lord and know where our help comes from. We can see His divine intervention in our lives, even when trouble abounds and we feel discouraged. He is our light at the end of the tunnel, and we can run to Him in our distress. He seems to pull us through magically, and we know He removed us from our tribulation and set us high upon his mountain so we can see the calamity left in our wake. What a gracious and wonderful God we have; He sees us not as we are but as His loving children. God is with us, and he rejoices over us with singing. Can you feel it? The following verse is my all-time favorite because it shows God’s passion for us and His love. It brings tears to my eyes every time I read it. There is no end to His love. We are blessed.

The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

August 2, 2024

The great and glorious day of the Lord is near. We are living in a thrilling time, even though it may feel stressful if you let it. To realize that we've been told lie after lie, we can hardly recognize the truth anymore. The truth is what you see and touch physically. You know what God has done for you, but you can also see what God has done for others; you know the truth about their testimony. The intricacies of creation can be seen and touched, showing us that a being beyond our mind's capacity to understand exists. Even those who do not believe in the Bible can know God and his infinite wisdom because they can touch the living things He created and see them with their own eyes. Fortunately, we believe the Bible and know the details of His love for us. To understand the fullness of God's love, the sacrifice of animals didn't give us complete healing from our sins, so God gave us the perfect sacrifice of His son, Jesus, who bled, died, and rose again for the sins of the world. I can't comprehend the reason for a blood sacrifice, but that's over now because of Jesus. Even though the world doesn't know him, we know him and can count on him to take us to dwell with him in eternity. What a great and glorious day that will be!

Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger. Zephaniah 2:3

The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more. Zephaniah 3:15

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

August 1, 2024

A day of weeping and sorrow is on the horizon because the unrepentant sinner will face the wrath of God. If you are awake and aware of what’s happening worldwide that’s not being reported in the news and want your mind blown because of the similarities to what is happening today, read Joel. It’s only three chapters, but the prophecy is unfolding before our eyes. One particular verse that struck me is Joel 3:3.

And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink. Joel 3:3

If you’ve heard about what has been done to undocumented children by perverts and heinous and heartless people, you will understand the implications of what is to come for them. It is they and others like them that will face God’s wrath. It will be a horrible day for them, but it can’t be said that they don’t deserve God’s wrath to come upon them for what they’ve done. Pray that we are raptured and do not have to see even a tiny amount of the filth of the world getting the justice they deserve. It is a fearful thing to come under the mighty hand of God. Do not let a day go by without lifting your voice in repentance to God. Pray for the children of the world and that Jesus would come quickly before any more damage is done to the weakest and most vulnerable of our people, the children.

For something more positive, I give you this verse: The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. Joel 3:16

July 31, 2024

Today is the day to turn your heart toward Jesus. You’ve known the truth for your entire life but have rejected him and delayed the decision because you want to continue in your debauchery. Aren’t you getting too old for that kind of behavior? Those who stick closely to the Savior feel that time is at hand. He is waiting for you! Time is short; decide now to serve God and bring your friends with you! I know you can feel it coming in the air; we all can. Leave those other gods you serve behind and follow the One True God, the maker of heaven and earth. You’re right when you say you’re not worthy; none of us are, but Jesus chose to save us from our sins anyway. He has done that for me; let him do that for you.

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts. Malachi 4:1-3

July 30, 2024

As Christians, we can rejoice in the coming day of the Lord. However, those who have caused us hardship and have gone against God and His people have much to be fearful of. It will be challenging for them. We can see the deepening of the divide between believers and nonbelievers because of the stark contrast between the two. The insanity and belligerent upheaval they cause marks them, and all true believers can see their vexation. Their minds are tricking them into believing the lies they tell themselves, and the truth is not in them. We are living in the approach of that great and glorious day and can approach the throne of grace without fear. We are not perfect, by far, and full of sin; however, our trust in Jesus and his covering over our sins with his precious blood put us in the good graces of the Father. We have so much to be thankful for, but especially our salvation. I wouldn’t want to be in the shoes of unbelievers on that special day. Fear not! The Lord will gather all offensiveness out of his kingdom, and the wheat and the tares will be eternally separated. Things are falling into place for us, and we will see our Savior coming in the clouds triumphantly, and we will live in peace with our brothers and sisters under the rule and reign of King Jesus!

And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. Zechariah 14:9

July 29, 2024

Jesus is a fountain of forgiveness; all who trust Him will have their sins forgiven and cleansed of all unrighteousness. When Jesus was hung on the cross and was pierced and run through with the sword, the blood that flowed from him cleansed us from all unrighteousness. That’s not all! A process of refining takes place. Those trials and uncomfortable situations are allowed by God to train you to trust Him. If you pass the test, you will come out like fine gold. Submit to Him quickly so the refining won’t take too long. The sooner you leave your troubles in God’s hands the quicker they will be over.

In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. Zechariah 13:1

Hindsight is 20/20! We can see Jesus clearly in Zechariah 13. He is the fountain in verse 1. It is Jesus’s hands that were pierced by his friends in verse 6. He is the Shepherd in verse 7, who was struck and the sheep, his disciples, scattered. Since then, the enemy has come after those who trust him; we are the little ones in verse 7. However, the enemy will not win because we are under God’s divine protection.

And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. Zechariah 13:8-9

Bonus: The 666, 66% is the 2/3’s of the people who will cut off. We, the Christians, are the 1/3, 33% who are being refined. The 66.6% plus the 33.3% of the angels displaced from heaven equal 100% of evil will be gone!
