God told Ezekiel to prophesy against the pharaoh of Egypt. His complaint against him was that he was haughty in thinking he made and owned the river.

Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself. Ezekiel 29:3

We must consider this a warning not to become too pleased with our accomplishments. Had it not been for God, nothing we have ever said or done would have happened, nor would we own anything without Him giving it to us. Don't forget that He also gives us our abilities; we did nothing to earn them, but because God entrusted us with His plan, He gave us the knowledge we needed for that purpose. What good are you doing if you are not using your gifts to further the kingdom of God? Do you think you earned the wealth you've accumulated? You haven't. Everything God has given you can also be taken away by Him, just as it happened with Pharaoh, king of Egypt. Thank God for everything you have because, without Him, we would still be dust.
