June 17

After an evening of wedding festivities, we had a long, nearly two hour drive to get back home. When your family raised you in the middle of nowhere and the wedding was held deeper into nowhere, it makes for quite a long and arduous trip. The countryside was beautiful, dotted with pasture land, ranches, and wildlife, which helped pass the time. I have never attended a more beautiful and God filled wedding, where the guest of honor was Jesus, and the gospel message was brought in a way that honored the couple, but focused on our Heavenly Father. It was proof that when you live a life centered around God, and He gets the credit for where you are in your journey, all the pieces fall into place perfectly. Take this day and honor your Dad, but most important of all, give all glory to our Father in Heaven - after all, He created this day and deserves all of your love and respect. In doing so, you will see the fruit of your dedication to Him. Happy Father’s Day!

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. Matthew 22:37-38
