I love summer, except for the oppressive heat! We get to set our tables with the most beautiful foods harvested fresh. The colors are a delight to the eyes! For instance, the watermelon, you could consider it the national sign of summer! The beautiful green striped exterior and the vibrant red center; such a contrast in color makes you want to dive in and eat it all up! We have to thank our farmers for the hard work they do to keep us fed! If God gives us such delights here in our earthly home, can you imagine how pure and beautiful the food will be when evil is removed from this world and a new heaven and earth is created? To think that our taste buds haven’t even experienced true bliss is unimaginable. For now, we will just have to enjoy the supplements we are given and keep our eyes fixed on Him, who will bring about eternity in due time. Enjoy your weekend everyone and eat some watermelon!
