June 21

I went to the eye doctor and found out that I needed an adjustment in my prescription. My left eye has become considerably weaker than it was. It’s a little scary to think that my eyesight has gotten worse, so I’ve brushed it off as having the wrong prescription initially. Who am I kidding? I’m not getting any younger! Now the fun begins, the adjustment period! New glasses can make you feel a little dizzy and unsteady to begin with, but once you get used to them, you can see so much better! The Holy Spirit is our glasses when reading the Bible. People trying to read it through natural eyes will find it to be incomprehensible, but give them a pair of glasses (the Holy Spirit) and the words come to life! New believers may even feel a little unsteady or dizzy when working with the Holy Spirit, not literally, but being convicted of sin and learning to listen to that still small voice takes some getting used to. The Holy Spirit will give you understanding of things unknown to non-believers! Only through Jesus can you have the Holy Spirit!

Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. 2 Corinthians 3:15-16
