September 2

Every morning, I come downstairs to all the windows frosted with condensation, which prohibits me from seeing out. As a person of nature, I need to be able to see the works of God’s hand as I study. This need became evident when we bought a condo in a high rise, and I couldn’t see the trees anymore, though I could see the water, thank goodness. That made it essential for me to fill my porch with plants. Anyway, I got the bright idea that I would use a squeegee to clean off the condensation so I could see again. As I finished reading my scripture, about an hour later, the condensation was back; that gives you an indication of how hot it is here. This can also be a lesson in understanding scripture. Sometimes you are going to read it, and it will be clear what God is trying to tell you, and you will easily understand its meaning, but then there will be other times that it feels like glass with condensation, where the information is hazy at best. Don’t get dismayed; God will make it clear when it’s necessary for you to understand it. I’ve read the Bible cover to cover a few times, but never has it been more clear to me than it is now, but not all of it; some things are still hazy, and that’s okay; God will give me and you clarity when the time is right.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5
