If you want to see a picture of today written in the Bible, look at Isaiah 3! Though it's written as a warning to Judah and Jerusalem, the similarities to what we face today are almost eerie. God's word is living, and the outcome of sin is to same; we should also heed its warning and warn others to turn away from wrong and look to Jesus for healing. 

For the look on their faces bears witness against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves. Isaiah 3:9

Here's the good news: 

Tell the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds. Isaiah 3:10

If ever there was a time to clean up your life, repent of sin, and look to Jesus for your sustenance, it is now. His promises are the same for us as they were for the righteous of Judah and Jerusalem. We can count on God to fulfill them because he doesn't change, and his word is trustworthy and true.
