Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Isaiah 40:1
With so many issues going on right now, I feel that my path is to comfort the Christ-followers and make them aware that their future is in the hands of God. For many years, we have been led to believe that even though the grace of God saves us through Jesus, we must fear, but I’m here to tell you that’s ridiculous! Lately, I’ve pointed to scripture showing the ones who should worry are the Satan worshipers and Christ deniers. Jesus never told us that living a life in his footsteps would be easy, but nothing good is ever easy; however, he has always said not to fear. The struggle will not last. Why does he say “comfort” twice? He wants you to hear it more than once, so we feel cozy. We have Jesus; he is our guarantee that death cannot hold us, so why live our lives in fear? Take your life day by day, moment by moment, and don’t project your fear into the future.
Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news; lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news; lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!” Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. Isaiah 40:9-10
