I’m a country girl that loves the beach, but I love the city too. That combination makes it hard for me to decide what view I want. Beach? Country? City? There are favorable characteristics about all three. A wall of windows is preferred no matter where I am. My third-grade teacher called me a daydreamer because she saw me staring out the window; she was a bit mean, and I think she was insulting me, but if it’s true, it’s true!
Though the world may seem crazy right now, your view of God and his power can change the way you see it. Are you looking through a peephole or a wall of windows? It matters. Don’t be narrow-minded; expand your view of him, and that will help you see that all that is happening is necessary to get us to the place we want to be, so that no matter where we are, the view is phenomenal, and that is a world where Jesus reigns. He is our hope for the future, and that’s a beautiful thing to desire.
And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. Colossians 1:17-18
