June 15

God hears our thoughts and prayers, even for the simple, materialistic things. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had dogs of all shapes and sizes. Now, I have two small dogs and love them, but get very tired of putting them on a leash to take them out. Now that I’ve moved, I have an enclosed back yard with a fence, and can turn them out to sniff around, and do their business. It may seem silly, but it’s a convenience that I appreciate. The yard needs a little work, but that’s my specialty, and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty. Some people think that we shouldn’t ask too much of God, but the opposite is true. Yes, we should thank him for everything, but we should also make our request known to him. We don’t always get what we want, but every now and then, he will surprise us with a little gift.

"do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6
