November 4

Most of 1990 I was pregnant with a baby boy. Up until the day he was born, I had no idea that I could love another human to the depth that I love him. He’s now a grown man and that love has never faded, not even for a second. I equate my love for him to that of the love Jesus has for us. At no point in my life have I changed my mind about sacrificing myself for him, so I can see why Jesus submitted to being sacrificed for us. He did whatever He could to save His beloveds from a future of torment. As my son's future begins to unfold, and he begins to lay everything down for Jesus, all I can do is pray hard for God to use him in a way that He might be glorified through him. Don’t worry about your children, God loves them more than we do. He loves them enough to sacrifice His own Son for them and for us, which is something I could never do. That’s amazing love!

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. John 3:16-17
