December 16, 2023

My nephew is getting married today, and we are traveling to North Florida for the ceremony. Watching these young lovebirds come together in holy matrimony should be a joyful occasion and a delight to witness; my nephew is strikingly handsome, and his bride-to-be is quite lovely.

Did you know that part of God's commandments, through Moses, took into consideration newly married couples? It was prohibited to send a man off to war within their first year of marriage. The husband was to stay home and make his wife happy. God wants new couples to bond so their hearts grow strong and longingly and to prevent the possibility of them going astray while the man is at war. Never forget that God cares about all of us, so we should make it our joy to praise, worship, and elevate him as highly as our minds can lift him. God bless this new couple in our family. May they put God first in everything they do.

I lifted the picture from his mom's page. Thanks, Julie!

When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken. Deuteronomy 24:5
