July 2, 2022

I've been digging in the dirt and tilling the soil. Planting various kinds of shrubs and trees; some produce fruit, and others produce leaves for teas. I'm also getting a bed ready for a few vegetables and peas. While the world is distraught over its government's move toward tyranny, I will stay busy in the garden and find my peace. Whether we live or die, we will have peace because of our faith in the Lord.

For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite. Isaiah 57:15

However, the tyrants will never be at peace. Their push to enslave, press down, and overtake will result in their demise. They will struggle in their pursuit and anguish in their death. I don’t feel sorry for them, but my heart breaks for those who blindly follow. God help them because they know not what they are doing, and allow us to gain the strength from you to overtake our enemies. May those who can’t see open their eyes so we can work together to defeat this evil.

But the wicked are like the tossing sea; for it cannot be quiet, and its waters toss up mire and dirt. There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.” Isaiah 57:20-21
