For now, you must focus on peace. The world is stirred and shook over the current events, but we who are saved know that these things must take place to bring the full number into the sheepfold. Yes, it seems that God is separating the wheat from the weeds, the good from the evil. But what can we do about it? We wish for no one to spend eternity in hell, but the evil misdeeds of some are going to tear us apart. There is one thing we can count on during a transition of power; our military. The men and women who make up our armed forces are our friends and family. They are the ones who will make sure the constitution is followed and will protect us from any invaders, foreign or domestic. Their commanding officers will make sure that proper action is taken by all and take charge if they see that there is influence by a foreign adversary who may be looking to take control.
As I was studying this morning, I noticed that in three chapters in a row, Jesus said to ask him, and he will do it! Though I’ve read these chapters and verses many times, I’ve failed to notice how often he said it. It was all in one speech, but it has been broken down into chapters by the writer or translators. Please pray, and make sure you either begin or end your prayer with “in Jesus' name;” ask him to sort out our situation for good; in Jesus's name!
If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:4; If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7; Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:24
