Remember these verses in Matthew 24?
“Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left.”
Most of us believe this is about the rapture, but it isn’t. Just before these two verses, Jesus says it will be like the day of Noah. In Noah’s day, the bad people were washed away, and the good people were saved in the ark. Jesus is telling us that the bad people will be taken away, not the good. And I believe we are talking about the very, very bad people. For all our lives, the church has taught us to fear the return of Jesus, but I think that the only ones who need to worry are those who’ve made a deal with the devil for fame and fortune and have participated in ritual abuse that marks them, like those who are trafficking and sacrificing children. When the pieces don’t seem to fit in the Bible, you can bet it’s because we’ve been taught wrong about its meaning. Dig a little deeper, and ask God to give you clarity.
