Richard, my husband, is the best grandpa, and all of our grand-boys love him. He has an over-the-top personality, and a smile that melts your heart, but he also has a booming voice. Our newest grandson is very sensitive to noise, and startles easily. Richard loves him with all his heart, but lately, he cries when he holds him. It’s the cutest thing to see; he smiles at first, but then his face turns upside-down. Richard is no quitter, and he keeps trying, and it seems to be working; last night he was able to hold him for a long time without him shedding a tear, I think he might be getting used to his voice. Did you know that God continues to go after those who keep rejecting him? God’s love reminds me of Richard and his love for his grandson. Many people reject God and don’t want to hear his voice, but he keeps pursuing them in the hopes that they will turn and believe in his goodness and love. If you have a loved one who has yet to accept Jesus as Savior, just know that he never stops chasing after them; keep praying for their heart to change, and hopefully, before their last breath, they will turn and trust him.
“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. Luke 15:4-5
