I had one of those days where I stayed busy and barely accomplished anything. How does that happen? The day is gone in what seems like minutes. Lately, I've noticed it's already noon when I look at the clock, and I haven't even changed clothes yet. What is going on? Has anyone else noticed? It makes me wonder if God has sped up time. I mean, it is possible because nothing is impossible for God. If he has done such a thing, there's only a little time left for us to encourage our loved ones to change to a better way of life through Jesus. It is now more important than ever to listen carefully to the Holy Spirit and not hesitate to follow his instructions. If you have yet to figure out what that is, it is that initial impression, a still, small voice you have that makes you feel like you should act a certain way, meaning put into action something he is telling you. You usually figure it out after you've failed to listen to that impression. You will say, "I knew I should have done that!" But you dismissed that thought. We must start listening more carefully and react quickly by following through the first time. I'm still learning to do that, but it will come with practice.
And he said, “Go out and stand on the mount before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper. 1 Kings 19:11-12
