Richard’s dad, God rest his soul, collected everything! He had a self-storage built for investment; however, he filled nine or ten units with his stuff. Now, it’s under contract and expected to close any day, which means those units had to be vacated. Our guys have spent a couple of weeks finding room elsewhere for everything. One of the units had a gorgeous dining room set with a table that seats 12. I’ve always longed to have a table that seats my entire family because, as a kid, I detested having to sit at the “kids table.” I have two dining room sets in my house now! However, when they started bringing in the table, I realized that it was more than the table; there was more furniture than I expected. Now my enclosed back porch is full. Thankfully, Richard’s sister is taking some of it. Still, my house looks like a used furniture storehouse.

What is the spiritual significance of my situation? Here’s my thought, if you haven’t filled your storehouse, maybe it’s time, but I’m not talking about furniture; you may need a supply of food. The world is heating up, and evil cannot continue at the pace it’s going without facing the wrath of God, and we need to prepare so we don’t become collateral damage in his quest to rid the world of disgust. Make a plan and carry it out. Our hope is in Jesus, but we must be wise.

According to their deeds, so will he repay, wrath to his adversaries, repayment to his enemies; to the coastlands he will render repayment. So they shall fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come like a rushing stream, which the wind of the LORD drives. “And a Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,” declares the LORD. Isaiah 59:18-20
