Justice awaits! In Isaiah 13, he is writing about a vision he saw of Babylon and the destruction they face because they oppressed God’s people. Isaiah references the day of the Lord; the day of the Lord and the return of Christ are two different times. It will be a dark day for those people left on earth after we are caught up in the clouds to meet Jesus because they will know that their destruction is near, or will they? We see people today reveling in the crushing and the oppression of the church; they might be happy when we are all gone, but only for a moment! God will rally his people for their destruction. His warriors will go out under his power and exact revenge for all the wrong they committed against God and his people. The things we see now, and the people destroying the peace of the land by their demonic possession will suffer at the hand of God’s warriors. You see, we will be a part of God’s vengeance. He will equip those of us who are called for that purpose. If you thirst for revenge, wait for it! It will be much better when brought by the power given by God.
I myself have commanded my consecrated ones, and have summoned my mighty men to execute my anger, my proudly exulting ones. The sound of a tumult is on the mountains as of a great multitude! The sound of an uproar of kingdoms, of nations gathering together! The LORD of hosts is mustering a host for battle. They come from a distant land, from the end of the heavens, the LORD and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land. Wail, for the day of the LORD is near; as destruction from the Almighty it will come! Isaiah 13:3-6
