October 3

As I finish Ephesians, the only thing left is the final greeting. I’m struck by the word “love.” I’m not sure if we have a good understanding of what it means to love. I’m especially tormented by the lack of love I’m seeing for one another and a complete disregard for the respectful treatment of those people specifically chosen by God as the leaders of our country. I speak only for myself, but I stand on every word that comes out of the mouth of God, which are the holy scriptures. I can’t tell you how much I am sickened by what I hear coming from “Christians.” The threshing floor is open and the wheat is being separated from the weeds. Are we living in Sodom and Gomorrah? Maybe. I know God will let those of us who love Him, leave before it’s destroyed. If you get out, don’t look back! We have one judge, and that is Jesus. I pity those that will fall on that last day. I pity those who will live through full tribulation. If you are a true Christ follower, you hate the same things the Lord hates. I leave you with the Word of God, written in context so there is no guessing what it means, but in case you don’t understand what innocent blood is, let me just say, He knew you BEFORE you were born.

There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. Proverbs 6:16-19
